  1. I think its worth reiterating the possiblity of a dirty barrel; I had a problem which sounded relatively similar to this, and after firing about 50 'cleaning pellets' (wads of material, like this) it was suddenly back to as near on pellet on pellet as I could achieve with it (the inaccuracy being caused by my pathetic technique). If you are interested in doing this, the way I was advised to do it was fire 3 wads that were oiled (gun oil) then one clean one (to help prevent any possible dieseling later), and repeat it as many times as you can be bothered (I think I did five to eight) then finis
  2. Anything with Clint Eastwood in or with him directing, especially all three in the man with no name trilogy.
  3. Lol I can understand clint just fine, but what the hell did you just say SGS?!
  4. 11 foot pounds? If you put the power up but keep it under the 12 foot pound law to stay on the safe side (one shot that exceeds 12ft/lbs means the rifle is illegal, even if 99% of shots don't) then .5ft/lbs is not worth fiddling about with it; it'll only give you a yard extra range, if that.
  5. I've got BIG fingers OTM, can't get mine in and now the bandages are on absolutely no chance Phantom Okay, I just went and checked, and yeah, it's rather a right squeeze without bandages sorry, silly suggestion. But I originally thought that perhaps doing so with your forefinger resting on the stock above the trigger might be a bit painful on the tendoms, but it seems okay actually! But as has been said, your pull will be a little odd so you won't be that consistent to start, so yeah, practice beforehand but it shouldn't be too much of a difference as I just did a bit and got j
  6. I would say the trigger guard on a s200 is big enough to house both your fore finger and your middle, so I would suggest (provided they both fit) that you strap them tightly together so they in effect work as one, and as it will be the finger on the bottom that will do most of the pressure as its furthest from the axis it should be fine, plus you can get s200s to have nice light triggers.
  7. With a scope I shoot with both eyes open because it allows you to acquire the target faster and it means I can quickly go from looking through the scope to have a wide point of view (no scope) without having to move my head or rifle. However I find when target shooting with a peep sight I have to close my left eye.
  8. A one hole group means that all the pellets didn't hit precisely the same place;ragged hole means the same; that all the shots were close enough to touch, but not perfect.
  9. Also can I just point out that it looks like you haven't even bothered to read the rules/guidelines: Sticky: Where to post your topics.
  10. Nice shooting! But I could've sworn the pheasant season had finished
  11. Looks very nice mate! You clearly chose a good tattooist for the job.
  12. But then how else are people going to join the air rifle community? If you have to get a license for an air rifle why not just go for a shotgun?? And a lot of people start off shooting air rifles because of the lack of licenses and then move onto sgc's and fac's later. To put air rifles on the license required list would screw up air guns as a sport, would screw up shooting as a sport, and would further threaten the rest of shooting as more regulations and tighter restrictions would soon follow.
  13. How many acres do you currently have permission on? Because if you posted in share a hunt section you could try and get a local shooting buddy who already has land to shoot on, so you effective share permissions.. everyones a winner!
  14. and why's that then, did i steal form you ????? Nah mate, just the way you talked so ferociously about the subject in the original thread and handled it, I just would be a little dubious about dealing with you as I don't enjoy losing money. It's nothing personal, it's just like I wouldn't buy off someone on ebay who has less than 90% positive feedback; I'm not saying that I reckon you're dishonest, just not as genuine looking as my precautious nature would require if transacting money.
  15. Isn't he the rotty-rabbit guy? Yeah.. I wouldn't go near him regarding money.
  16. If I remember correctly, you don't need to be supervised on private land if you are 14 or over But for the time being if you fancy snaffling a bunny for your tea, get some wire snares out Phantom As above; you don't need to be supervised whilst on private land if 14. BUT you have to be supervised with a gun whilst on public land, this means you have to be, effectively, escorted to your permission by an over 21 year old.
  17. If you're fast enough..: "fx stirrup pump(no hose),fully working with no probs,35.00 plus post." With the pic being.. here.
  18. It would really suck as it wouldn't work. The idiots who currently use air rifles for illegal purposes are the ones who will still be able to get them without licensing, but the honest ones who can't/won't get a license get screwed. Even with a power increase it wouldn't be practical or good. And as has been said, the reason why most people get into airgunning nowdays (imo) is that there is no license required, it is like a gateway drug but in shooting terms, and it would really suck if in order to join a new sport you had to go through the 6 off month process of getting a license; people
  19. If the bottle is out of test you'll need to get it tested before anywhere will fill it up, and tests usually cost in the region of £30s give or take £5.
  20. Go to a different gunsmith then. 'Cause if you can't find the problem and it's not working, it has to been seen by a professional or buy a new rifle.
  21. Yeah there was a long debate about doing so; they would control the deer, they are natural, they are actually native, more tourism, but people reckon they would also attack the hikers, however wolves rarely attack humans when there's other food around.. I don't actually remember the conclusion of the debate (if any) but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been done yet as the amount of media hype it would get would be phenomenal.
  22. Due to the nature of smk guns (cheap lol) the quality of their guns aren't particularly consistent; I've talked to people who have them and love them, they can practically get pellet on pellet at 20m (which for a springer is v. good) but others have said theirs is crap! So basically, if you can get a decent grouping with it, then it's a good one, otherwise if you can't it isn't
