Jigsaw, i might be wrong here as im only having a stab in the dark here. What about yer dogs bud (if you have dogs that is ?) do they have a free run in your yard ? im not saying they were being aggresive towards your ferrets in the hutches, but mabye just being curious with young in the hutch and might have made your jill edgey and led her to do this ? Anyway sorry to hear this bud as its usually owners who want to meddle with the kits to soon that sparks this off with the jill but this said sometimes you think you know and understand your animals and then thing like this happens, leaving yo

I remember a old terrierman who bred russels in the village when i was a nipper telling me about a fox slinking in to his kennels and taking one of his litter he had bred when he exercised his pack including the mother of the litter leaving them for a hour or two, even although i was young and gullible,i still thought he was taking the piss as his dogs were hard as nails,so i doubted his story but then he went on to explain about the pups probarly crying and whimpiring due to the mother not being there which would have attracted the attention of the fox which were cubbing at this time of the ye

I duno about this because its ban this and ban that now, everybody is treated like fecking children now in this country now i know the health implications to myself and others who choose not to smoke but as it was said earlier why do publicans not have the right to choose if their OWN pubs are smoking or non smoking..........simple, then everybody could CHOOSE where they can enjoy a pint and another thing if the government is so concerned about the health issues, why do they not ban cigges alltogether ? im thinking the amount of tax the fecker will lose out on may have something to do with i

I really fear the worst for the futre in britain as these nutters whose trying to kill and injure people have no fear of dying,i think this is just the start of it and will be with us for many years to come

mackay , just like to point out nothing against the scottish or welsh people, just that old miners and old dockers make up a lot of voters and have obviously influenced there kids to follow suit and vote labour we need the welsh and scottish tory constituents to try harder and change it for us all, but do you think they will be able to change cardiff, swansea and glasgow??? edited to add, regarding the scottish Mp's it really is a disgrace that everyone has a vote at Westminster yet only scots can (rightfully) have a say in the scottish parliment (same for n.ireland and wales) yet they

You will always have the summer coursers tramping the fields with usually a pack of untrained running dogs running anything that gets up in front of their world- beaters  but you will find this same lot will never be in the fields when the first chill of the colder weather comes again,at this time of the year they will be boring some poor bugger in the pub or somewere or another, telling them how good their lurchers are and how many (summer and leverets ) hares they,ve had with them this year its something you,le always have sadly. But killing foxes at this time of the year some

I have to disagree with you there duckwing about pats and russells being a better cross over a whippet, granted working beddies are rarer than by-gone years, that much is true, but they still exist. You only have to look towards a thread on the terrier posts on here (swansea jack ) When you talk about terrier x whippet your talking about a rabbit dog and the way i see it is pats and russels over whippets would make no better than bushing dogs, maybe pinning a few here and there in cover, your best results would be had with the cross working along side a faster dog when bunnies were put out int

What gun you using tam ? not matter too much as long as it near to ful power (12 ft lbs) and of more importance how accurate at your killing distance ?pellet placment is the key buddie. Try grouping say 9 out of 10 shots in a inch to a inch and a halve on targets and when this is acheived your ready for your bunnies sir Take them with head shots and i garantee you tam there will not be many runners then. all the best sir

Nice looking pup sir and what ive read your doing fine enough with him for now but over the next year or so he needs to learn a bit more, stock breaking, jumping and all the above youve mentioned at a pace hes happy with so as you dont sour him. The way i see it is when you get your pup home your starting with a blank canvass and then its up to you to fill in the picture with your own training methods over the next year or so to shape your dog to what you want it to do,so if your going to work him with ferrets introduce him to ferrets at a early age ect Over the next year or so feed him well

Good on ya sir with that new bitch of yours, seems a decent enough bitch youve got yourself there frank But i have to say my eye was drawn more towards that pup youve got there, shes a strong looking pup frank as i think i read on a previous post before shes not yet 6 months,im looking forward to see her in another 6 months from now, what kind a height do you think she,le level out at frank ?
