Well, I'd have been waiting a long time with an invalid certificate, they have never inspected my cabinet since I moved, or through several variations and renewals!! they have not re inspected your cabinet after a move?? he came to my new house checkedthe cabinet was fixed, checked the contents was on my cert, had a coffee and a chat and that was that. i was under the impression that they need to check that the cabinet is fixed as a minimum(allthough weapon security is your thing and not his really). to the original poster:if in doubt call the feo(thats what i did before moving

a fantastic turn of events here, a good pic swampy/craig. the pics are there to see(regardless of fully grown bunny or not,i suppose a pup could be of that size). i'm not convinced that the offending bop was a bussard and please don't try to sway me with pics or persuasion some very funny stuff waidmann

Aye thats right mate....rear a few extra to feed the f**kers, what a clown!!!! Do you know the price to rear up poults? its a fact of life bud,fur you can feather you can't. the bop are protected one and all so what do you want to do about them? waidmann

the midlands bud(telford). i have never had any trouble running the trailing paralell to other stuff(retrieve, bushing etc). the important thing is to have a ritual for the blood work( dog down,YOU inspect the site of impact for sign of shot location etc,THEN fit the trailing collar and long line, then he can inspect the "soi" marking blood, bone etc and then give him the command to start work -"trail on!" or whatever you wish to use, making sure its not like the command used to bush etc). if you want to get him to "sound dead" or use the "bringsel" then start straight away(both are an extensio

dripping= a bottle of blood dripped onto a trail(get some one else to do the trail laying,as the dog may follow your scent and not the blood) dabbing= a walking stick with a bottle fixed to the top.the fluid runs through a tube into a sponge which is dabbed on the floor. well worthwhile using trail shoes as well later on,deer feet attached to a kind of shoe(i normally only use one as they are not easy to walk with ). to start the dog off make the trail straight on a natural path and put bits of food etc along the trail, not forgetting to wound the ground at start and somewhere alon

not being funny bud but did you intetionally wait untill one was behind the other? if so its not the sort of thing to be done with pigs and deer.if not then your "know all about backstops" is just as invalid as the tone used earlier (crap shooting......). its our responsibility to shoot cleanly(this sort of thing happens, especially at night.but should be avoided where possible). bavarian brit is obviously living in germany(is german or has lived there) where this kind of thing is seriously frowned upon, the hunter would be considered irresponsible and callous(there version of "sporting beha

a mate has a border dog and a lurcher bitch who are both top ferreting dogs, very calm and know exacyly what the crack is. the terrier will position itself on the set and not move an inch, unless something is doing underground in which cse he will move to th ebolt and freeze, catching a fair share of bunny. the lurcher bitch has a mark to rely on and will lie down next to the ferret box untill something bolts(into a net or runner then she will spring up and catch it!!!! easy peasy mine are both still young but love the ferrets, the terrier will follow the ferrets(him above them below)and t

How loud is loud when it comes to centerfire!
waidmann replied to pandamonia's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
But an un-calibrated Mk1 lug 'ole won't tell the difference. i would think that lack of calibration(mk1 lug) would not stop you from thinking that a 30.06 may be a little louder than .177 hmr whether moderated or not bud waidmann -
the season is over for whom??? some of the lads have lots of pest controll to do before the damage is done to pheasants etc. waidmann

if you have trouble getting blood from deer then use cattle blood(from a slaughter house, make sure they dont put anything in it though). most training is done with this, alteratly you can buy a powder which needs diluting(i have always used cattle blood so i don't know how much it is or where to get the powder). are you starting the dog young? dripping/dabbing? waidmann

How loud is loud when it comes to centerfire!
waidmann replied to pandamonia's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
the sonic crack will be louder the more mass and speed the projectile has. i.e. the faster and bigger the caliber the louder. a moderartor stops/reduces the energy given at the muzzle(flash and bang) the sonic crack behind the bullet cannot be influenced by a moderator. waidmann -

the farmer who i rented off in germany had a dog and a vixen as cubs in an old corn barn(metal wire room with plaster on it).bearing in mind he had one of the best foxing teckel i've known and a lab x gsp who didn't mess around either. he put straw down and a few bales to hide in and they were fine(fed on dog food, road kill, pigeons etc). she was about three and he decided to let her go and left the door open. it must have been a year or so later when he saw her again running up the roof and into the hay loft,he went up and she just sat atop and watched him,as far as i know she is still ther

had that a few times mate and have no idea why they would come. a hare does make noises allthough nothing like a "squeak"(more of a growling noise,i would guess that most have not heard it). waidmann

First run out for the foxcalluk
waidmann replied to Treacle Trackpad's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
i would agree with most of that bud, apart from the fact that most shoot deer for sport, they also damage the crops and are in some places in quite high numbers(i had 15 fallow in the lamp the other night). MOST of us will shoot for the sport(probably95% of us do not do it as a job but as a "hobby" for want of a better word). we shoot because we enjoy it and there is a valid reason for doing so,that is certainly the case with me and most of the lads i know. waidmann -
if he has your snares in his room then she may catch on Ric no pun intended

what difference would a lurcher have made if the fox cannot run?
