Always had seperate accounts from the day we moved in together, being a bit of a weirdo I always thought it removed the potential to cause trouble……just keeps clear boundaries about certain things and when you see the grief it can cause other people if the relationship gos boss eyed it sort of makes sense first few years. My mrs has had access to my accounts whenever she wants, I don’t worry about that and was a second signatory on one of our business accounts once but always had my money & her money personally. On the subject of cafes, you can’t get chops or liver or kidneys in cafes no more…..f**k, I remember going in a cafe in Broadstairs over 30 year ago and when I asked for fried slice the bird behind the ramp said “We don’t do fried slice !!” !!!!!! So I said “see that slice of bread, stick it in the frying pan !” f**k sake like…..just shows morons ain’t a new thing ! lol Edited to add: Those cafe owners who used to serve boiled tinned mushrooms should have been crucified in public !

There was a tidy one by Canary Wharf, owner bred them bengal cats as I remember….not a window in the gaff ! lol Then there was a decent one down Petticoat Lane, used to go in early before they started setting up the stalls for the day. Georges (I think) at Canning Town (near Tate & Lyle) Also, out of town, there was a great cafe at Brighton Fruit & Veg market (I suppose that’s long gone now?)…..they did a breakfast called the gut buster and you got a little prize if you could eat it. Back of Borough Market had a good one, they used to cook liver really tough just

Used to journey to wales every year mushroom picking, I wasn’t into them but a few pals were and there was a handy trade local for them…..mind you, the journey back from Wales in the van listening to f***ing Hawkwind was torture ! lol
