I’m sure you was mate, but I always think what do they looks like, what’s the criteria for them being that, how do you pick them out and are they really around in such numbers as to make them have any meaningful impact on anything ? Here is the thing mate, everyone is “contributing” all the time, everywhere !……even the bloke on the dole is contributing ! If he buys a tank of diesel, he is contributing….lets say for ease of argument he sticks in £100 of fuel…..that bloke has just paid £70 in tax just like everyone else ! He pays VAT like everyone else…if he has pint or smokes, he is paying duty. If he buys a pair of shoes or a packet of biscuits or a portion of chips…he is contributing ! Cats in an urban environment are probably someone’s pet, I personally would not harm them….may belong to an old lady or a little kid ? I’m no fan of cats, in fact I loath them and will happily iron out feral cats found out in rural places…..but an urban cat I’d never harm because that may just break someone’s heart.
