It's double trouble for the likes of MU because they rely so much on sales to people who like them because they win things. Don't get me wrong, IMHO every club in the PL will have to forget about old time fans a bit in favour of becoming "a brand" or they will die. My guess is that you will see a very different PL in 30 years.......it will consist of about 8 teams The rest will be almost amature.

I think the big man would have been cocking an eye to shipping out Van Persie and maybe Rooney now, he had the knack of buying forwards as they were peaking and getting 2 or 3 seasons out of them. I believe this also kept the squad on their toes. Meeting Rooneys wage demand was a bad move, it's comfort zone stuff which is never good. It reeks of desperation at a club that, lets face it, should have every player in the world queuing round the block to join. I never believed he was upto the job (Moyes) and I still don't .........biggest club in the world having to spend its way out

Arsenal need a couple of players up the middle to do some ugly and add some steel, like a Viera or a Keane, once they get that then get out of the way IMHO because they will have it all. And they won't have broke the bank to do it. There's no way a club of MU status should be in a position of having to rebuild IMHO

Everyone is saying he needs a 300 million war chest, let be honest, with 300 million even Allerdyce could assemble a team of league winners......don't say much for Moyes managerial capabilities does it !! Great managers don't need to buy their way out of bother, they get more out of players than the player ever thought themselves capable of, they set their sides out right and do their home work, they instill belief, they nurture young talent and as a by product of that great players want to join the outfit because players like to be part of something positive and they want to win things.

Dry your eyes boys, there's f**k all in that story. Them boys have done nothing wrong. The fact that it may not be everyone's cup of tea does not make them arseholes. Lamsdorf wasn't the japs, the Germans marched allied POWs out of the camps with 20 minutes notice in the middle of January......that had on whatever they managed to scramble into as they were roused from their beds and walked with no supplies a 1000km across Eastern Europe in the depths of winter They died like flies, many of those blokes had done 5 years behind the wire as they were with the ones left behind by the BEF.......the first forgotten army. Lamsdorf was a massive camp and it really was dog eat dog.......none of this Hollywood comrade, jolly hockey sticks type stuff.......men pr

They should have made a film about The Lamsdorf Death March........google it Wiped from the nations memory banks but something that should be remembered in my book, a hardship endured by our troops the likes of which is on par with any Japanese prison camp
