I've met a few lads off here, and in general they are decent people... some I consider good mates now... I think over a couple of years you can get a good feel of people by what they type on here, few lads I'd be happy to sit and have a yarn with in real life.... Yeah, you never got the treat of my handsome looks just the pleasure of my posh accent on the phone ! Lol
  3. f**k it !.......I guess that will remain one of life's mysteries then !

That's nice of you to say mate, I think there are few proper chaps on this site who you can have an honest (and sometimes heated) conversation with and still be polite.......I suppose it's a kind of mutual respect thing as much as you can have for a person you have never met except to read their musings on a computer screen.
  5. Right seeing as you live in Eritrea I will ask a question that has always puzzled me, see over here we always have to watch adverts saying can we send you a few bob because you have to walk 85 miles a day for water.......so my question is........why don't you all just move nearer to the river and built a new hut?
  6. Oh dear, was he on that programme?......now I'm really glad I didn't watch it. A couple of my pals was having a quiet drink a couple of years back and he rolls up and starts with all the "this is my boozer" bollocks........so they walked him out the back and says "well it's our f***ing boozer now so f**k off" and he did ! Lol

It's not that at all mate, anyone who knows me knows they won't ever hear the "poor me" bollocks coming out of my chops.....you wipe your mouth and move along same as you won't hear the "proud to be poor" nonsense. I didn't read it as anyone was trying to belittle the bloke or say his grief was any less because he had money......nor did anyone say he didn't deserve his wealth........I think they simply made the point (maybe not too clearly) that there are people out there dealing with the same with a lot less breathing room and that's also important to remember. If you could see what a ha

As they say mate, money isn't everything but it's definitely better to sit in the rain in a Mercedes than it is on a set of roller skates ;(
  9. So why do you go and live in predominantly white countries then? Stop trolling and turning this into a race thing.. and immigration issue.Stick to topic .. " mod" I think saying you'd rather not live next to white people is a race thing you stupid racist. It's like me going to live in some 3rd world african shithole then moaning about the blacks next door. I bet they'd rather not live next to you either. White people in sourh africa moan bout blacks.. and create their own white only ghettosIts not a race thing, its just that most of them they are nosey.. Like indians smell of curry,
  10. That programme sounds truly cringe worthy !
  11. "Looks like we are in our own "..........no shit Sherlock, most lads could have told you that 5 years ago !

The government has just cut the bereavement allowance to a maximum of 18 months (I think they used to call it widows pension).........it used to be until your children were 16. So, if you ain't over it and in your feet in 18 months tough shit !! Which is fine if you are a working man/woman on a fairly good salary with a decent job.........I remember when my old man died my mother didn't know how to do a thing because she had never had to.......she didn't even know how to do the shopping because my old man knew all the business owners and he used to get everything. She was lucky enough to

I agree that dealing with the day to day stuff won't come into it like it would for some low income mum left alone, but I think you have to bet the grief is the same brother.
  15. Up to him, I told my estate agent not to send any darkies round cause I wouldn't sell the house to them.......thought he was gonna piss in his pants the face on him ! Lol

Good post that, It great imho that a bloke as well known as him is talking about something that is rarely spoken of.I watched something else the other week about an organisation/charity called "Winstons Wish" which is for bereaved kids and kids who have lost parents through violence. I don't mind saying I was in tears at some of the stories. There's no manual for any of that, and some people never figure out how to deal with it.......if it helps one person then it's all good
  17. He is not "a rock" at all, he fell down.....lots of blokes do
  18. Or some employer with national pride might see it the other way, he put it on the line for his country, the least I can do is give him a job and a second chance Maybe, let's hope that's the case but I can't see many employers wanting a media circus crawling upto the factory door every day.......maybe it would be good for business? Who knows ?
  19. In all seriousness I don't know who will employ the bloke?.......too hot to handle and mentally unstable under pressure. The big "noise" that got him released may ultimately prove a large mill stone round his neck. Best thing he could do is cop a cheeky 50 or 100 large off the newspapers for his story then vanish to some remote part of the globe
  20. Mate, that is a disgraceful comment !He endured hellish conditions, doing a job that you or I wouldn't have the balls to do ourselves. He served his country with great distinction, and has endured his ordeal with fortitude and resolve that most can only dream of....A better man than most of us will ever be ! Ordinarily, he would probably be the first to admit that he made a mistake - but he was not in an ordinary situation. I, for one, salute him and his good lady wife - both have behaved with grace and dignity throughout this farce ! "Served his country with great distinction"? He brought

  22. I was brought up a catholic, my kids are all catholic but I am afraid after the latest findings at Tuam I will have nothing to do with that whole rotten club ever again. I'm still a Christian but them fuckers are done with me.
  23. I grew up in one and still visit regularly, plus the rental property I own in Bradford which is currently occupied by two lovely Muslim families You know nothing about me so why would you assume you have more knowledge and experience of a subject than me? Seems quite arrogant TBH. Bradford.......a great example of how and old English town can be improved by multi culturalism ! LolNow you're just being silly, Bradford was always a shit hole! Jokes aside, as Astanley points out, no it wasn't.I have travelled about the North a lot and you go to these towns and see the architecture......these wer
  24. If you had a painter and decorator round to paint your house and he missed the walls and painted all over your windows would you hire him again the next year?..........in fact would you get him back year after year even though he made the same mistake over and over again?
