Neems, I have to say (and I was expelled at 14) that your first and last paragraphs are frankly bollocks !! I agree mate, they must get the very best. We are in reality a million miles in front of where we have ever been in the past with regards to the care men get. Before we get too het up, kids today are brilliant in general......much better than previous generations, more positive. They like stuff, they mostly realize the value of education, they mostly don't like violence or negative shite so let's have it right. However, the few bad eggs (same as there has always been bad eggs) are more extreme but that is allowed to happen in a society that is afraid to say boo to a goose. Who's fault is that?...... Ours !.......we are the generation that has been voting the last 30 or 40 years so suck it up ! But, it's never to late to change

I have no doubt that this is a very real thing for lots of ex and serving forces personel.......I do a lot of work in the London office of Abf, combat stress, ssaffa and they do good work, mostly ex forces dudes.....all tidy lads. However, I have to ask myself......have we got softer as a society ? If it was the choice between some Jonny come lately manager or a dude like Giggs who has played at the level he has, won what he has won and played with and against the players and teams he has then I personally wouldn't think twice about trusting him with the money........nobody top level players more than other top level players. With Scholes in the mix as well, a bloke who to me was everything a professional should be, I don't see how it can be better. It works all ways round, commercially and from a football point of view.......1 game don't mean much but if he can get them playing after

I have not seen the whole thread, but if we are talking about the NHS then it needs completely dismantled and rebuilt on a much smaller scale with some sanity !!! Mate, they are never gonna get another 10 or 20 year manager in the foreseeable future......they are back to being like every other football club when it comes to managers.......3 seasons, 4/5 at most then onto the next big club. Like all brands, you need names or someone who is about to break onto the scene........you are all talking like Man U is a football club, it's not !.......it's a brand that happens to play football. That's why a "brand" like Virgin uses Usian Bolt and not Graham Taylor to advertise and the manager Branson is as big a name as any of them.
