It is shit. Draw any comparison you like between the UK and comparable countries and you will see exactly how UK politicians, (in particular the tories) have nothing but contempt for we 'little' people. Pensions, way behind Spain, Germany and almost anywhere in Europe. Health service spending way behind Germany, France and and almost anywhere in Europe. Education spending way behind. Affordable social housing way behind. Job security a joke. Try offering zero hours contracts to a frenchman or a german! Infrastructure spending non existent. Why? The scots are a bit more clued on than many are giving them credit for, they voted to stay part of the union and also voted overwhelmingly for SNP at the GE because that's the best of both worlds for Scotland because if anything the SNP are defiantly only in it for themselves and Scotland........they don't give a bollocks about the rest of Britain. That makes total sense to me

The one thing that has changed is that the UK is exiting from Europe and the majority of Scots did vote to stay in Europe (although I understand Scotland is part of the UK and so should accept that result) but I feel now is the time to take risks, it's time to mess things up so let's give Sturgeon her vote and trust our brothers in Scotland and respect what they decide. After all, if a politician is telling you something is a very good idea then you have to assume it's a very bad idea

Well, I woke up this morning and have been listening all about the subject on radio 4, various bollocks from both sides. Now I have always maintained I want Scotland to remain part of the UK and I still feel that really BUT it occurred to me, it don't really matter a f**k to me any more as I don't live in the U.K. And then I thought something else, if we have had a vote on our independence as the UK it's a bit rich to then try and deny Scotland the same, in reality you can't with anything like a straight face. I think the battle with Brexit is yet to come, the vote was the first very small step......the trick now will be to make sure you don't swap one kind of dictatorship for another arguably more dangerous one.......one that don't have 27 other countries to mediate. Make no mistake you have 20 years of pain in front of you, they will make it real bad in order to end up with the independence "they" want. They have already started, all the EU laws the U.K. Have had are being put into UK law so they remain......the battle then is repeal of the Ines that really effect your life in a negative way

Fair enough my parenting approach was more " dont cross the road with your eyes shut " because i thought it made more sense than saying " try it and make your own mind up " ........only messing mate who am i to say whats right and wrong Haha, she is 13 going on 30 so I'll get you round and you can tell her what she is and isn't doing !! In fact I will probably let my daughter read this thread, she loves he's reading about dog related stuff and she certainly isn't shy about saying "dad, you are being a complete prat !" Lol As long as they know right from wrong, that's the main job in my book.

Gnasher, you won't change human nature and the fact is 99% of people ain't like people on here, they don't like killing things and that's all there is too it mate. I said to my daughter the other day, if you want to go and do your little dog shows that's fine but never ever change what that dog does or should look like to fit in, you win or loose with it looking like and being a working dog. Mate, I completely agree with nearly all of that so don't get me wrong but to my mind (and it is only my opinion) if you take that to its logical conclusion then most people shouldn't havenpet dogs either.......and we all know they do, will continue to do so........something's just exist right or wrong. How many time have you looked at a dog over the park and gone "f***ing hell, state of that"........we all have but that's life. I also think working dog owners can take a lesson from the show people in as much as the shear amount of time, effort and money in travel that they put in to make their dogs the best they can be at what they are doing. That side of it certainly does put most working dog lads to shame. Imho the deformed thing that won it was an awful sight and shouldn't be allowed to be bred but you still can't take away from the fact that the people in that final were from all over the world and you don't get there by just showing up at the door.
