I genuinely think though mate that conversation like this are hard because, for me, England has had great players but they never had great teams and so the player never gets the right recognition because the team achieved f**k all really. If they had won something they would be remembered correctly but they didn’t. Which is why we still talk about Moore, Hurst and Peters even to this day.

I used to love a good booze when I was a young man mate, but there comes a time to grow up and take care of your life and that don’t go with drinking imho.......least not with me. I have a very occasional drink myself when out for dinner or at some social occasion (by occasional I mean maybe once every couple of years ! Lol) but that’s not “drinking”.........a few beers here and there in good company on the odd occasion isn’t the same as going to the pub 3 or 4 times a week and necking 5 or 6 pints or demolishing a load of cans every night. Alan Shearer was a striker of his time in an era of big powerful strikers and big powerful defenders. I wouldn’t have watched England as much as some because I just couldn’t watch them regularly as I have spoken about before.....you lads would have watched them much more than me.

Question mate, have there been any rule changes in boxing between the Ali era and today ? My point is, you can make a comparison if everyone is still working to the same rules. They are not working to the same rules in football and I wondered if boxing was the same ? Obviously sports science, nutrition and training has moved on beyond recognition

Fair one mate, I’d argue you could say the same about fags in that it relaxes you, focuses you blah blah blah......but imho the downside outweigh the benefits and I can never shed the feeling that the pro weed lobby only talk about cancer patients and medical stuff because secretly they just don’t want to have to creep around to have a joint.......I don’t actually think most weed smokers give a f**k about cancer patients any mire than anyone else does, they just want to have a joint in public and not get pinched. I hope you lads realise I wasn’t trying to be rude or insulting on purpose or indeed be personal to any of you. I was simply stating my honest opinion and experiences. If I said a smokers lungs are wrecked it would not be true for everyone but it would broadly be the case and I’m sure you would all agree......no different lads and I’m sure none of you are that fragile that you can’t take that opinion on the chin for what it is, an opinion ?

Liverpool played Owen to death because they had f**k all else in the locker.....I think genetic inheritance played a big part too, he was high risk to the injuries he had and I believe his dad had the same problems.

Maybe mate, point is, people are promoting weed and at the very best it’s no different to promoting smoking or drinking. As I said, I’m not being holier than thou To people because I smoked fags for 35 years but not once did I ever think there was any benefit to it, I wanted one and needed one....end of story. I can sit here and say fags are shite, because they are and I could say that when I was a smoker too. Everytime I see anything about weed it’s all about how good it is, the benefits......there ain’t no benefits, it’s total shit just like smoking and drinking. Personal

I completely agree with that, and the worst of it is that it’s at epidemic levels with the young I have known only one person in my life who could hack smoking weed and remain up together......other than that, everyone else who I have ever met (and it’s a lot) who smokes weed is altered negatively in some way. For the younger blokes, well, they are f****d !......they just have nothing about them at all, no gumption, no get up and go and everything that comes with that....f****d ! Not personally my cup of tea and I’d imagine values won’t be that good.....it’s just very workmanlike if that makes sense. I always thing something like that needs a very, very big and light room to sit in or it will just dominate and over power the space. Sid on here is your man anyway ?
