He was one of my favourite boxers back when he was fighting, he was a funny bloke. I could be wrong but didn’t he suffer with fragile hands, kept breaking them ?......maybe I’m dreaming that up. Anyway, I felt a bit sad when I read this as you tend to do when high profile people who you liked in your youth get in a bad way......hope he makes a full recovery

All my family used to go and do this every year from way back.....I used to love the smell of the hop fields when I was a kid although the tradition had stopped with my brothers generation. We lived on a little small holding just outside Sandwhich in Kent and right in amongst the fields.....Sandwhich still had its old cattle market then.....it’s a car park and supermarket now Sadly now all lost.......I miss MY England Anyway, I hope some of you enjoy ?

I think what Gnasher means is that’s it’s no surprise that Africans act like Africans.......these are based instinct people and they will always follow their base instincts. My Brother was in Vegas for the Bruno v Tyson fight back late 80s mate, he flew to New York for a few days and said it was a pretty scary place.....this was from a man brought up in darkest south London who was fighting from the day he could stand up ! Lol In fact he said he went for a walk and two coppers stopped and said “He buddy, we can tell you are a tourist....don’t be walking in this area at night” and they gave him a ride back to his hotel ! Lol

The second gulf war and Afghan wars were the first wars in my lifetime and, as far as I can make out, in British history where there definitely was a sense of “what the f**k is this about, this is bollocks” amongst the general population......there was a definite collective national unease about those wars. I agree with the sentiment of all of that mate, but I think we are Forgetting one thing, war is a natural thing for human beings as it is for many creatures.......I think we just have to accept that to us, it’s as natural as breathing. Its how you manage the outcomes imho, and it obviously don’t make a lot of sense to go and beat a wild animal with a stick then invite it round for tea. The CIA would have had a lot of input to the training of the leaders of the attackers.....once again the west showing how little we understand these people. We think that if you simply give them a few quid and are nice to them, make them feel welcome and cater for all their whims then they will be our friend.......it just don’t work like that with these people. They want f**k all to do with us apart from putting our pounds, dollars and Euros in their bank account......other than that, they hate us. I think most British blokes felt some kind of solidarity with our American brothers that day mate as I think we always have in our own bizarre way (even though you are ungrateful colonials ! It’s quiet nice to see England behaving like thugs again, and why not.....all this cosy little homogeneous politics needs a kick in the arse. However, I never loose sight of the fact that Johnson and most of his party have all very much been part of that club for a very long time and said f**k all about it.......I don’t believe them, but I’ll wait and see where this f***ing shit up leads.
