I have had my Miendl about 10 years mate, they are well tested over years by lots of lads who are out in the wilds putting them through their paces ?

I have the Alt-Berg brown leather combat boots (non waterproof) The difference is gore-tex liner i think I also have Lowa waterproof combat boots. I have high leg Meindl (Dovre extreme GTX) as well and for dealing with real wet conditions the Miendl would be a much better boot compared to a water proof version of the Alt-bergs I have or the Lowa. I have waded streams and all sorts up in the Lake District in the Meindl, never got wet feet ever. Between Alt-Berg, Lowa and Meindl in leather boots for hunting, Miendl win hands down mate.
  4. Tea.......always tea ! Lol

The Alt-Berg lightweight desert boots are the absolute daddy for warm dry wether or if you do a mobile job in clean dry conditions
  6. What are they for ? mixi and such like ? What rabbits do you keep ?
  7. I hate anything like that to do with older people or little kids, there are some horrible b*****ds in the world. I have the mental inability to ever walk past a situation if I see someone in bother or who looks like they may be in bother, I have always been like it and it has driven my wife nuts all my married life......but I just can’t help it. I have seen old ladies sat in crowded eating halls crying alone, laying on the floor in the street, little kids who have no business being out alone running about in the road and nobody except me paid them a blind bit of attention or stepped
  8. They should just top bits of shit like that !
  9. Text me your email address, I’ll send a couple of pictures for the good lady to have a look at, see what she thinks.
  10. Well there is a couple of nice Duresta bits in the warehouse in England if you get stuck.
  11. Vets are pretty sound over here, they don’t rip the arse out of anything. You can also just buy a lot of stuff over the counter in your local vet or agri store which you can’t do in the UK
  12. Wispey (if you have one close by) are selling them mate, wife and kids came home with a load of nonsense the other day but they were happy so that’s the main job

What the terrain ?......flatlands ? Bogland ? Moorland ? personally I’d always go for the high leg version of a Miendl if such like, covers everything
  14. You can probably just walk in the local vet and buy it depending on what it is ?
  15. Fairytale of New York is now bigoted and offensive !
  16. That is true mate, but as it restores it captures carbon again. Carbon is released every single time anyone ploughs a field, digs a hole etc......anytime the ground is disturbed.
  17. Ahh mate, don’t even get me started......I had a lifetime of those c**ts !
  18. They tried it with water rates, let’s see them try it with tuburry rights ! Bring it on ! Lol
  19. Whatever it was mate, if it’s close to the partridge coveys, it’s going down ! Lol ?
  20. Yep, that’s exactly what it is......I can’t see people putting up with not being able to cut their own turf mate can you ?
  21. I think it’s the commercial turf cutting they are going to stop and to be fair I can see why, drive past those sites and it’s devastated mate, it’s like a moon scape. But your ordinary household, can’t see how they are hurting anyone. In the last 3 years it has taken 1 morning every year to haul home enough turf for the year, in fact I have a surplus and I don’t think I will need to cut any next year if this winter isn’t too bad. I bet I have not dug up 30sq m of ground for that! How is that worse than Oil or Gas ?
  22. I see that the other day, that’s about the 3rd landslide this year I think
  23. It’s nonsense , mate I am off grid for all my heating (other that the electric it takes to power the central heating pump) I cut my turf 2 mile up the road, I haul the whole lot down to my house on say a Saturday morning (it’s normally 4 dump trailer loads towed by the tractor) Thats it. No super tankers going round the world, No nuclear power stations with their filthy deadly by product. Cut a tiny patch of turf, 2 miles, job done. I know it’s not perfect but it’s a lot better than most things, I’m complete surrounded by hundreds of acres of trees so I’m sure they ar
  24. It’s probably nothing more than an inexperienced shooter making a genuine ID mistake. But that obviously don’t sound as good as some of the phrasing in that utter nonsense of an article.
