westmeath hunt terrier and lurcher show
appleblossom replied to Irish Lurcher's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
Would agree whole heartily, Kevin M knows how to put on a good show. The weather was just right for the occassion, and the judging in both rings was superb. Both these men knew their dogs, and was firm and fair in their judgment.Terriers ,lurchers and Whippets all got a fair crack of the whip on the day. It took us approx 3 hours to get there, but it was well worth the journey.I met up with all our old friends,Hagan and his mate,Carraghasgem, and quite a few more,to many to mention. Also met and made quite a few knew ones,JF1970,and his mate,It was nice to meet you and have a wee chat, and also a -
Had a great days craic to day at Charleene and Michelle Raffertys Dog show to day. This was a 1st class venue to hold a show, with a great race course, showing area and ringside parking. The show was run with impeccable organisation, and rosettes and trophys were class. Many thanks Charleene and Michelle and judges for a very enjoyable day. This was the first show I have been at totally organised and run by 2 women, and boy did they do us females proud. Bluebell was there clicking away on her camera as was Billy Harpur recording all our moments of glory. There will be plenty of pics of the day up

Yes Graham, The North West Terrier,Lurcher & Whippet show in Donemana is on the 7th August. Thiers was orignallly on the 17th of July, but it clashed with Ballinlough, so the changed it to the 7th August to accomadate Ballinlough. I will put a list of shows coming up, this might help them to decide a date.

Matt, your show to day was a credit to yourself, your good wife and your show committe. We had a brilliant day and thoroughly enjoyed it. The judges did an excellent job, and the prizes and trophys were well thought through. The show was well supported by the good Canine folk from Northern Ireland and the weather was very nice which was an added bonus. I thought I was at a show back home, there were so many familar faces. We have won enough dog meal to do us a month. We arrived back home here in Portadown at 8.30pm a little tired, but a labour of love, a really enjoyable day.Congratulations to a -
I would agree it is an honour and a privelege to be asked to be a Judge. My husband John Mc Stay has judged Whippets at Donemana and Dunsilly, and he was so proud tobe asked to do so.John judges the dog and not the person, and in his own words, it is his way of giving back something to the dog shows for all the enjoyment we have got from them over this many years, to many to mention. We have had many very sad times in our married life, through sickness, ill health and knocks in life generally, and only for the dog shows and our faithful whippets and lurchers, and our many good friends in the Ca
