  1. As the sun was setting over the hills of Co Armagh Northern Ireland this evening, the news filtered through that one of our great sporting Canine ambassadors Rose Mc Coy and her brilliant racing Lurcher Zola, won the under 21 racing at the Midlands Game Fair England today, and is bringing back to Co Armagh a beautiful cup and shield. Congratulations Rose, and well done. Good luck for the Pride of the Peaks to morrow. Good luck to Deidre, Patsy and Rose Mc Coy, Jim and Lynn Murray and family, Denise and Bill Mc Guckan, and everybody from Northern Ireland and the South of Ireland, who are travelling on Friday to the Midlands Game Fair on Saturday and the Pride of the Peaks on Sunday. Unfortunately we will not be going. Big John is a home bird, and does not like travelling outside the island of Ireland. Although we will not be there,we will be with you all in spirit, and look forward " Bluebell" to seeing all the photographs next week. Give our regards to all our English friends, and we wish you all and your

  4. Sorry Brun, I dont mean to offend you in any way, with my write up.We dont race ourselves, just show. I just get the results of the racing and include them in my write up.To me results are great, and if your dog had won I would compliment you in the same way and feel proud to do so.But most importantly you are entitled to your views and comments which I dont get involved in, but I fully respect them.

The venue was Barron Top Fun Farm, Strabane, Co Tyrone and was held on Saturday 11th September. Barron Top Farm is set on top of the magnificent hills of Co Tyrone over looking the thriving town of Strabane. The views from Barron Top across the valley of Tyrone/ Londonderry is and always will be etched in my memeory for the rest of my days. A fantastic place for a Dog show, as it provides a unique combination of activities

  8. All roads led to the Sporting Whippet Club NI show last Sunday at Dunsilly race track Co Antrim. This was certainly a show with a difference. I arrived in the field at 11.30am with dogs and husband in tow. Immediately I knew there was something up. You could taste the welcoming astrosphere in the beautiful Antrim air, flowing over from them wee blue hills into the homely and comfortable surroundings of lovely Dunsilly. Grading started at 12.30. At this stage the field was buzzing with excitement, as the Chairman and her wonderful committee announced they were going to have a barbeque during th

  19. Tullylish sits on the River Bann, along the main road between the towns of Banbridge and Portadown. Its beautiful countryside and green elevated hills was the perfect setting for the annual Tullylish Dog Show. With the exception of a small shower the sun shone brilliantly and the Canine men, women and most important of all their families arrived in force with their stars of the day in tow in their comfortable trailers. These shows have over the past couple years and especially this year from my observation, turned into real family days out for small and big families. This has become very evide
