Albert, Great idea to bring back the main Arena Demos. There was such fun and enjoyment in this for young and old. Also just a thought for 2012. Would it be possible to bring Whippets in line with Terrier and Lurchers and have a 5 Nations Championship for these beautiful dogs also. Whippets are a big part of all dog shows both here and across the water. -

Barron Top Fun Farm was the venue for the final show of 2011 for the North West Lurcher, Terrier, & Whippet clubs last Sunday. A great day of excitement and enjoyment was had by young and old at this great show. The rain came down in bucket fulls, but this did not dampen the spirits of all the regular show goers. On a rainy or sunny day Barron Top has a large variety of entertainment for the more junior members of the family , such as baby animals, puppies, large indoor soft play area and bouncy castle, adventure playground, cart rides, face painting, and pony rides. tearoom and gift s

We started out for Birr at 5.00am on Sunday morning, met up with Rab Greer at Newry. Bluebell was also to join us at the same venue at 5.30am, but we waited and waited and finally after 15 phone calls later, and now 6.15 am, we managed to get her and Patsy woke up. End of story,Bluebell slept in. We proceed on without Bluebell, and left her to follow later, and arrived at Birr Castle at 9.30am. Birr Castle Demesne extends to over 100 acres, and is open to the public every day of the year and attracts an average of between 25,000 and 30,000 visitors per annum. The Castle is set amidst beautiful

A big well done Allanah, another chip of the old block and big Sis Kirsty. Allanah is the the daughter of keen photographer, and loyal spertsman Stewart Harpur, and little sister of Kirsty Harpur. Move over Kirsty, little sis is taking over. Congratulations Allanah, and may you win many more. -
Cant wait for this weekend to go to Birr for the Great Game Fair of Ireland. There will be a crowd as usual all coming down from Northern Ireland, both on Saturday and Sunday. There is also quite a few people heading down on Friday and camping out over the weekend. I love the dog show and racing, but I also love browsing around all the many stalls and food halls. Maybe Bluebell and myself will sneak into the beer tent for a few glasses of red wine, or maybe a we vodka, when the men are not around telling us what to do. Hopefully I may land myself a wee bargain at the stalls also. Good luck to

Another great day of racing and showing was had by all at the Sporting Whippet Club Northern Ireland, held at Dunsilly Kennells, Co Antrim last Sunday. This fine venue has the best racing track in Northern Ireland, and is kept in top class condition by its caring owner Mr Victor Mc Donald. The weather was not so kind with a few very heavy showers, but that did not dampen the spirits of the racers and showers on the day. This is always a great family show, and a well run club show, and it was so nice to see the children all there in the ring with their dogs. One little fellow was a proud little m

Camloch, meaning "crooked lake" is a small village in County Armagh. It is near Bessbrook and lies between the slopes of Sliabh Gullion and the picturesque Cooley mountains. This was the venue for the South Armagh Lurcher, Terrier, and Whippet show last Saturday. The village of Camlough has a small population ,but the people of this tight knit community certainly have a lot of giving in their hearts. This community really proved that in abundance on Saturday, by the welcoming and hospitality shown to all the Canine people who attended this great show and to support their annual Feile Camlou
