  1. I’m getting her retrieving from water really just as a bit of fun, it will help make her an all round dog as well, if I ever need to get shot ducks of water I wont need to swim I want her as a lamping dog mainly but I also want a half decent daytime dog so I’m putting a lot of effort into her to get her as highly obedient as I can David Thanks, height im happy with for the moment its mainly jumping on comand i want to work on Thanks jay, If the invitation is still open i will bring her up next season for a night on the big fellas David
  2. All it takes to recall her is 1 "come" and she comes running instantly as long as there are no other dogs around, in which case it takes a bit more incouragement but i am working on that Jumping is the next major thing to work on, she jumps when she wants but nothing over 2 and a half feet and not on comand. Ill fix that over the next couple of weeks. Thanks David Thanks tomo Dont worry about them i didnt take any notice anyway As you can see she is nothing like misty, she loves water There will be no messing about waiting for her to cross streams and rivers
  3. Here are some pics i got of the pup retrieving a ball straight to hand, im going to get her retrieving from water and thought that this puddle would be ideal to start her off. And one or two more i took while out.

    havoc

Why add whippet to the mix if charlie is the target species? I cant see any advantage in bringing the size and build down? Surely the bigger and stronger the dog the quicker the fox would be dispatched David
  5. Is the saluki cross a litter mate to towzers dog? David

  13. foot 40 rabbits on lamp this season isnt bad for me.i going to be out as much as i can this week if you want to come up just give us a bell. good hunting rew Yeah i admit the rabbit did run into my foot  Its all right saying fair play to the rabbit if it gets away but when to many get away it smashes a young dogs confidence, she needs as many catches as possible to build her confidence up. It wasnt sporting but it hyped her up and gave her that confidence boost she needed. I would do it again And the second rabbit was caught fairly She has had much more than 40, and

While there is a demand he will continue to breed from non workers. David
  17. DITCH PLEASE ANSWER THE GOLDEN QUESTION HOW OLD ARE YOU????? Was you homeless for 3 months? Didn't want to take your boots off incase they got nicked? You have had some life mate David
  18. YES It can and does happen It doesnt happen alot but does happen. Its all part and parcell Play with fire and eventually you will get burnt. To lower the risks in my opinion its best to get the dog as fit as possible before entering, and have all equipment in top order. Its no good trying to dig to a dog to have your one and only spade snap David
  19. Most young lurchers will walk upto a rabbit and sniff it, if it hasnt been brought on the instinct wont click untill the rabbit runs. If you took that dog out i would put money on it chaseing. Most lurchers are not born killers, they just have a huge desire to chase. In the right hands any lurcher has the potential to be great David
