  1. Ditch i would of thought you would of at least put it on a plate, not just spread straight onto the window sill Keep us upto date on the experiment, it will be interesting to see how it keeps. I think trying butter as a control would be a good idea just to see the difference. David
  2. Here are 2 iv made, iv used the thin one for the last 2 weeks and the thicker one was made today and has never been used. I wanted somthing abit easyier on the hands. Iv got a proper leather slip lead that works in a similar fashion it has a collar with a d ring on each end with a 2 leather strips on one of the d rings, one with a wrist loop and the second strip loops through the second d ring. It was a waste of money. I used to use a piece of rope looped through the collar but personaly i like this method and i have found that it stops my dog from pulling when on the slip, as i lam
  3. Personaly i found your reply somewhat insulting, as if to say i haven't got any comman sense. I wasn't giving any advice to anyone it was a question thats why i added the question mark to the end. I did not take it as gospel, this is exactly the reason i posted it in this thread just to see other peoples views on the idea......I didn't want a totaly un called for remark insulting my inteligence. If i said ''Don't use a collar because it will restrict your dogs breathing.'' then i would totaly understand where you are coming from but i didn't. Your right i do not know it all i don't even preten
  4. It wasnt ment like that so get off your high horse, i said when running. ie as the dog runs and needs to take in as much air as possible to fill the lungs the collar can stop the wind pipe from expanding and being as open as it would with out the collar, So the lungs fill that bit slower. I dont know if this has any real effect, its just somthing i have been told and in away it sounds reasonable. David
  5. Some one told me that a collar restricts the dogs breathing when running?

Yeah that is true snoop, but if the dog turns out to be shit then the odds of the pups being decent dogs become even lower. There is enuff of a gamble when it comes to breeding working dogs with out making the gamble even bigger and breeding from unproven stuff. David

Gary 30 fox is alot for one dog in one season, if that dog had caught that many it would be much fitter than it is

Thats what i was thinking, dont get me wrong i would deffinatly give him kennel space, i actually like him. But at 16 months old he cant be proven. He wont even be physicly and mentaly mature yet he is still a pup.

He looks a very nice dog. But is it just me or does it look like that dog has done nothing? Its only 16 months old so this is his first season, he is clearly out of condition and if it ''has done loads'' of work surly it would be in a much fitter state by this especially how the season is so far gone. If it had seen loads of work it would deffinatly be more toned up. There is no way i would ever believe that this dog has done loads of work. Judgeing by the picture i would say he has hardly ever left the kennel.
  19. Mine are all on barf, its the way forward in my opinion. My dogs do great on it and stamina has really improved. I can honestly say i will NEVER go back to dry food The food you have listed will be great mate David
