Its been wild here in the NW too. Just a bit scary this morning when I took the dog out - flying wheely bins (I kid you not) Whilst we are on the subject of high winds, does anyone elses dog act a bit weird when its stormy/windy?

get yourself some high powered halogen lights with motion sensors,put em by any access points,tell as many nieghbours as you can whats going on,keep your dogs in as much as poss,for a while,be extra vigilant with all strangers calling at the house,if youre that worried get a cctv camera,even a dummy one will help,these are gypos mate,you need to let them see some security going in.im only down the road from you and theres alot of em in this area,hope this helps. This fella is 6 months old, he's fed 3 times a day on a mix of complete dry food 30% and raw meat (my mate is a butcher) his legs are well muscled but he's quite thin down his spine. Dogs can mirror humanity, in that some are destined to be thin (high metabolism) and some are destined to be heavy. You can do no wrong if you feed them a healthy diet and get them out as much as possible.

Bang on Topper, although at least the kc reg Borders still look pretty much the way Borders looked 30/40/50 ago i.e Deerstone Destiny and his ilk. Most of the modern "Bedlingtons" are a freak show on legs and nothing more than an exercise in canine hairdressing . Someone tell me I'm wrong, tell us all about the exploits of your working KC reg "Bedlingtons", tell us how good they are at finding,how they stay with their quarry, and how hard they are. I think you may be dissapointed Emma, if you buy a show type "Bedlington" The dog will most probably have a poor coat, weak jaw, wrong temperament, and be too big,not to mention nasty inbred health issues like copper toxicosis and chronic eye disease. I'm sorry to be so negative,but thats just the way it is I'm afraid. There are plenty of show type "Bedlington" breeders who say that their dogs work,but most of it is bulls**t. What about a kc reg Border terrier?
