  3. Do you get many at home in your earths FF?
  4. I,ve seen quite a few Roe on this side of the M6 (P.N.E.country) but never a Muntjac or a Sika.
  5. John Glover used to keep them (probably still does) And he swears by them. From what I have seen over the years, Rillington Bedlingtons enter quicker and have more about them than Gutchcommon dogs.
  6. Are you not getting much action out there in the wilds D.S?
  7. If everyone was expecting remorse or fear from Saddam, it never came. He was as cool as a cucumber in the face of imminent death.
  8. "If he dies, . . .... he dies"
  9. Happy birthday Witton!!! I hope you are a bit more lively than my 16 year old son, He spends most of his time in bed and only comes down stairs to grunt that he requires his next meal.
  10. All the very best for 2007 to all fans of Real Bedlingtons.
  11. All the verry best D.S - 21 AGAIN??
  12. Before long you will develop that "lean forward" type of walk developed by Scottish hill farmers.
  13. I hope that old Beddy is going to be ok Wardman. Dont let some of these negative comments get you down.
  14. it would be a lot easier on the dog and your pocket if you put the dog down its a bit old for all that. Bloody hell, it gets worse. And we call them the gentler sex
  15. It is illegal in most public places to walk a dog off the lead...check out Defras laws. (Im sure there is a dog warden on here who could explain better). If a dog was hit by a push bike then it was not under control at the time no matter how well trained it is. MOLL. How compassionate Moll.

  17. I knew a lad years ago who "worked" one, and it was a great dog hunting in cover. There is one which gets walked on my local park and its a feckin bad barsteward with other dogs and a bit of a handfull for its owner.
  18. It wouldn't be the equivalent of a Beddy cross. A beddy is considerably longer and a bit taller than your average Patt. A longer dog will always cover the ground quicker than a more cobby dog.
  19. Cheers Tom, I followed your instructions and I am pleasantly surprised by the results. Before (poncey light tan) After (dark brown)
  20. My Missus bought me a nice pair of goretex lined boots for Christmas, but they are a very light tan colour, and I would prefer dark brown. Any clues on how I could darken the leather?
  21. Semantics are not my game fella perhaps i misread you? You were saying that nondescript Russell's were the business if I'm not mistaken? I wasnt trying to underline any strong opinion on the subject. But over 20 years ago I used to go out a couple of times a week with some fellas who took well in excess of 100+ Foxes per season with what could only be described as "nondescript Russell types" and some of their dogs wernt just bayers, but very adept Fox killers. So actually, it's notso much of an opinion, as an observation. Shit, have I said something uncool??
  22. "Ultimate digging dog" are your words pockets - I didn't say that.
  23. Thats an intresting statement David J What I mean Joe is that some of the best terriers I have seen working are nondescript Russell types i.e white dogs of no discernable type, rough, smooth, long, short leg. The type of dogs that seem slightly out of favour these days.
