    Fenn had pups to Boots on Tuesday the 10th January,she had six pups,4 bitches & 2 dogs,here's a few of them,a couple of the bitches here

    After all the running he's done over the years on the fells he done his wrist on a bowling green of a field,you just couldn't write it lol..his wrist was swollen so bad it was between golf ball & tennis ball size,it was horrendous to look at but there wasn't a chance I or anyone could get a feel of it,he was in agony..I treat him for 3 consecutive days on Metacam then left him medication free for 10 days then 3 more consecutive days of Metacam,from day one I put him the Portamag box twice daily on number 2 for a week,then number 3 for a week then onto number 4 for a week,all treatment just

    New year's day 2017 was the day I could only ever have dreamed of bringing my big dog Boots back onto the battlefield but that's exactly what did happen.Only 26 days after he suffered an horrific injury to his wrist which in nigh on 40 years of keeping running dogs I'd never encountered the like of before we went back to where we have made some of the greatest memories both he & I have ever had in regards to hunting.My eldest lad Frankel off here accompanied us with his bitch Gypsy & of course my sidekick Ruby the Pom,I wasn't fussed about catching anything infact being honest I never

    I must admit I'd have paid £50 and had mine pts no matter how good a dog it was if it come to the decision you had to make for Tilly in whether an expensive op may or may not be the answer to Tilly's injury,I was brought up to "the 1st loss is your best loss" theory rightly or wrongly? Best wishes to Tilly & all the best for 2017 Ken and fingers crossed that Tilly can once again strut her stuff if even with a slightly lessened workload.. Here's hoping ?

    I'm number 4 lol..A part time has been who's enjoyed the ride along the way..Been fortunate to own one or two handy jukels over the years..Now that I have long lost the ego to have/want & need of a top drawer canine I'm content with the pot lickers I now have here at home,we just do what we do in a kind of semi-retired way,I don't really care if I never ever catch anything again,I just enjoy walking out with a pooch & what will be will be..All the best fellow hunters ?

    Heavily muscled type dogs are far more prone to getting cramp/acidosis due to a build up of lactic acid in their muscles..Tinned tomatoes & also banana will put an end to the problem but just don't feed until the problem disappears or it will reoccur..I've seen the problem hundreds of times over the years mainly with greyhound's I raced but seen plenty of bull types with the issue & whippet types..The old tinned tomatoes rectified the problem each & every time ?

    There's loads of hares overthere,for a motor,3 lads & 3 dogs you can go for less than £200 return..If your prepared to run the gauntlet,get your dogs out of their comfort zone & fancy frogs legs for your dinner then go ahead and do it..If the thought of being interviewed by the French gendamarie scares the living daylights out of you then just stay put,walk your dog on the leash in the local park & read the countryman's weekly & the let's see your bull x topics on here ?
