  1. Definately mate. Set decoys out in field feeding or up in trees. Great sport to be had. I always had my best days shooting them out of the trees. Pernod
  2. Benellisupernova. . What do you mean " doubt hed let you have one"?? Maybe im reading it wrong but it looks to me like an advert to punt them. Pernod
  3. When you watch the hunt. What types of terriers do you see??. Pernod
  4. Allways carry a stout thumbstick. Its amazing how quick careless pooch owners get their dogs under control when they realise wee pooky, tyson etc are going to get clobbered. Pernod
  5. Forget the u turn. Still boycot the fuc*ers. They made their choice. Theyre just worried about their profits now. Pernod
  6. It might just be me but i love seeing a lurcher use its nose and hunt up (within reason of course). If they have even half a brain they soon learn the difference from whats expected daytime a whats expected under darkness. Pernod
  7. Cracking job there mate. You might just have inspired me to have a go at restoration myself. I have an old meteor from the eighties. I shot hundreds of game with it. I had it tuned by john bowkett to 11.5 ftlb. Unfortunately it is now in bits in a cupboard. Hopefully have time to give it a go. Martin
  8. Always carry a stout thumbstick. Useful for both the dogs and if need be their owners too. Pernod
  9. Christ you need a degree now to feed a working lurcher. A good balanced diet will suffice for most working dogs. Mind you what do i know. Pernod
  10. Meet you " to morra". Is this now a dating site. Lol. Chill oot mate its only the net.. Requests for adult dogs are always going to be treated like this. Pernod
  11. Im far from an anti. I jist think there is no need to highlight the wrongdoings that go on in the world of fieldsports. The antis do not need a hand from the likes of these sites. And im so defensive because terrier and lurcher work comes under enough fire already, so if you have nothing positive to say about them, youd be better saying nothing. Regards your aunty Pernod.
  12. Do you know for certain how the pellet ended up where it did?? Have you never under/over estimated range. You must be fu**in perfect. And running down lurcher and terrier owners. You come accross as a bit of an anti twat. Pernod
  13. It shouldnt make any difference at all. Unless you have a crap scope. Pernod
  14. I kook forward to your posts in a few years time when your fed up with pcp and want to return to 'boingers'. Ha ha. Good shooting mate. . . . Pernod
  15. I find that a lot of lurcher self proclaimed experts tend to generalise way too much with regards to breed traits etc. While some traits do get carried over, they would do well to remember that dogs of all breeds are individuals. You only have to glance at a hancock thread to get the idea. I had a 3/4 whippet beddie as my first ever lurcher and he was a delight to own. Now a lot of years down the line my only dog is a whippet x collie/grey, and he would test the patience of a saint. Yours in sport Pernod
  16. Infortunately most genuine folk dont trust others wanting to see pictures. Its all a bit too facebook-y. Pictures should be in your head. Just my opinion of course. Pernod
  17. What did your vet think was causing it?? What drops are you using?? Pernod
  18. Cheers for the help guys. I got some out of b&q. Pack of 8 for £ 1.30. 4 of the eight fit nice and snug. Pernod.
  19. Hi guys Does anyone know offhand the size of the o ring on a hw97 cocking lever. I got a selection off an engineer at work. And while i have a few that are tight enough. They are too thick and stop the lever closing properly. Cheers in advance Pernod
  20. Facebook has its uses. Its a quick way of sorting out the numpties in your area. One night on some of the groups and you quickly identify the people and areas to avoid. Pernod
  21. Hi guys, Ive recently picked up a 2nd hand hw97k. What size of sling swivels does it need?? And any opinions of good value ones. Thanks Pernod
