Whats The Next Best Scope Apart From- 3X9-56 ?
pernod replied to foxtails's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I don't want to jump on the bandwagon here. But to the original poster, put up some pictures of your groups at 60 yards under hunting conditions.. I for one would be keen to see. Pernod... -
They make good ferret food. Lol. Pernod

Facebook is a total eye opener re hunting with dogs. I'm sure some of the dimwits that post make the authorities jobs just too easy. Mind you to be honest most of them deserve more than their collar felt, they deserve a good boot in the nuts for their stupidity and in some cases out and out cruelty. Pernod Pernod

Just saw on one of the Facebook groups, some halfwit was trying to raffle off a lurcher for 50 quid a ticket. Has the sport realy sunk that low?? Pernod

You already have all the info you need from the targets you shot. Sometimes the old ways are best. Pernod.

I've mentioned it before but breaking them to sheep is easy enough when walking a pup through a flock of Un alarmed sheep. But it can sometimes go a bit pear shaped when a single ewe bursts out of a clump of bushes when up in the hill. That's a real test of steadiness, which I'm afraid a few sound dogs fail. Pernod

I'm sure I read on another forum that he was taking some time out because of work, starting a new business. Pernod

I'm talking head shots mate.... not much difference. Try it... Pernod

A full power air rifle is more than capable of cleanly dispatching ducks at realistic ranges. No one bats an eyelid at 30 plus yard shots at crows etc which are equally as robust as ducks. Just my opinion of course Pernod.

As bgd said, you only need a licence if you watch live broadcast TV. If you only watch catchup TV no licence is needed, regardless of what the TV licence goons tell you. The only folk prosecuted for not having appropriate licence have usually incriminated themselves. Pernod.

Take him with you when your out with your mates and their dogs. Pernod

Advice Scope Zero 25 Yard Using 177.

Why don't you put targets out at the ranges mentioned and note where the impact points are... easy. Pernod -
Not strictly a Hancock, but I have a Hancock x working whippet. He's 24 tts and is a more than capable dog. He hasn't been fazed by anything he's been run at. Not an ideal Hare dog but great on rabbits and other things. Pernod

Not my ideal pet. But you have to admire their hunting ability. Pernod

Anyone who would even consider shopping a fellow hunter for lamping some hares is nothing but a knob of the highest order.. Just my opinion of course... Pernod.

Its not worth the hastle popping a pigeon in the garden. All it takes is one overzealous(cu*t) of a neighbour and you can suddenly end up trying to dig yourself out of deep shit if rspb etc get their claws in.. just my opinion of course. pernod

This only comes into effect after next april. At present no license is required to shoot sub 12 ft lb in scotland. pernod

These bbc posts pop up all the time through various groups. The options are simple. If you think its value for money, then pay the fee. If you think its crap then either stop watching live tv chanels and contact them and explain so, and stop paying or alternatively watch as normal and claim to only watch catch up. Lol pernod

Get it out amongst livestock as often as you can, in different situations.. sometimes just walking it through open fields with livestock just isnt enough. The dog has to realy get it into its head that sheep etc are a no go. There is a big difference between a field of sheep being ignored by a dog, than a single ewe that bursts out of bushes in front of a young dog out on the hill....... Pernod

Thats a cheapish side focus scope, not a sidewinder..so take that into account when making your choice...... pernod

If you already know lads who are into terriers, then they should be able to point you in the right direction... pernod

Im sure airgunners venturing out in a 4x4 would be looking to sell on any quarry, not leave it in a ditch... pernod

Well he was asking how to go about getting an fac a few weeks ago. So if he got one, he got it quick. Lol pernod

We can all argue as much as we want on forums but unfortunately cameron and co have us ALL in their back pockets.. But as an aside, plenty in the UK must be happy with their lot. Otherwise Farage would have swept the board the way Sturgeon did up here..... Pernod

Cameron has the whole of the UK by the balls. He played the blame someone else card well. I hear English blaming it all on the Scots and Scots blaming it all on the English. Divide and conquer. Remember, to quote Cameron were all in this together. Perhaps we should be a united kingdom and get our act together and force positive change. From a personal point of view i welcome the SNP. The fact that they are anti tory can only be a good thing. As for how well the SNP will perform. Well we will just have to suck it and see. We made our choice and will have to live with it. pernod
