  1. Is this the plummer your talking about ''hi my plummer has recently lost interest in going to ground, although he's game to work at ground when there's a number of dogs present, anyone got any ideas to get him back in the game working fox solo'' thank you ryan I hope not.
  2. Hi mate, he sounds an interesting wee dog, any chance you could put a picture up of him.. cheers Pernod
  3. WTF the mind boggles. I've just recently started posting on here. Has there ever been a poll for the dumbest post??? Cheers Pernod

  5. Hi all, just thought i would post a pic of my lurcher pup, as a change from all the bullcross posts. He is 3/8 5/8 collie grey X working whippet, he is 5months old today. To say he is a wee bit headstrong would be an understatement, but slowly and surely we are getting there training wise. Cheers pernod
  6. definately somebody on the wind up (i hope). Cheers Pernod
  7. hi there, I'm afraid its just the throw away culture we have in britain today. folk buy lurchers and if doesnt turn out as they dreamt/hoped they just dump it and start again, until they waste the next dog then go through the process again. i'm sorry but with some of the pseudo hunters in the game now they want instant success even if they have to go through lots of dogs trying to buy it. Just as i see it Pernod
  8. It would make a good potlicker mate. Cheers Pernod
  9. Hi mate, search out a copy of the dvd Purdy's progress( google it), it should give you all you need to know. Cheers Pernod
  10. In the past I have always kept the dogs outside in kennels/runs. I have just got a new lurcher pup and have been keeping him inside, I have a feeling I am going to regret this decision, he is shall we say a wee bit destructive. In the past the wife hasn't really bothered about the dogs, just accepting that they are there. but i think that she is seeing them in a different light now,(not a good one). Cheers Pernod
  11. Hi mate, As mentioned previously, you could do a lot worse than look on the for sale section on here. Cheers Pernod
  12. Hi there, As far as I can see the ban on coursing will never be lifted. If anything there will be even more restrictions on what can be hunted. Unfortunately over the past umpteen years the dog game has been almost taken over by a new breed of 'hunters,' a term I use loosely, who have little regard for the quarry or the dogs used in the pursuit of the quarry. Before every jumps on me stating there are good dog men about, I am well aware that there are some, but we/they have been superseded by these pseudo hunters. Unfortunately they will do/and have done more harm to the sport of hunt
  13. Hi mate, right click on it with the mouse and save target as. cheers Pernod
  14. Hi all, I have been here for a few months reading through the posts.(Some excellent info and some absolute pish, you know the ones 'if u wer closer', 'nice dog' etc etc. I have had terriers all my life up to 6months ago when my last one died ( i will not be having any more terriers, i'm too old now for the hastle they attract). i have just got myself a collie/grey x whippet pup and he will be monopolising my time from now on. I don't post a lot, but hopefully i'll be able to put up some posts of the pups progress. I'm from Ayrshire and prefer just to mouch about on my own(hope i dont co

  18. Hi all, Oh i despair sometimes, iam just getting back into dogs after about 15 years lay off, But some of the questions on here are just plain daft. Are these people just trying to increase their post count or are they really that thick?? If you need to ask questions like the one discussed, please give some serious thought as to wheather you should be purchasing or getting gifted a dog. Yours in sport Pernod.
  19. Cheers guys, I'm glad to find out that it's not just me that these things bother. Perhaps some of them just want their post count up, so they can flog stuff.(ha ha) Cheers Pernod.
  20. Hi there all, I have been lurking in the sidelines for a few weeks just reading a few posts etc. good site by the way. What is the score with the replies/comments in the for sale section ' if only i was closer, or if only you wasn't so far away i would have it off you for sure'. Does hardly anyone drive, or is the forum full of kids. Admittedly I have not bought a dog for a few years, but i thought nothing of driving a couple of hundred miles each way to get the right terrier pup. Sorry for my first post being a bit of a rant, but that type of crap gets on my t#ts, if people are g
