  1. If your on a honeymoon shouldn't you be up to something else?
  2. If your interested there's a good book called Black Water written by SBS Don Camsell. He's quite critical of the SAS and I remember him being really pi**ed off the SAS got the majority of work on the Falklands, he believed even though they had a Boat Troop because it was a primarily an amphibious assault the gig should have been given to the SBS. He said after the Embassey incident the SAS were the apple of Margret Thatchers eye and got the best work. Edited to say opened my mail today to find I've been awarded another bar to my DFC. Happy days! Group Captain Seeker DFC (bar x2) DS
  3. Okay, my point was that the entire UK Commando force falls within 3Cdo, so if THL Walt's unit was real it would've be found listed as a part of 3Cdo. Forget I said 3Cdo Brigade or 33Cdo, basically he claimed to have served in a fantasy unit in the Falklands and got found out! LOL I think the Para section he claimed to be part of actually existed, the fact was whoever called him out as a Walt knew that Para section wasn't involved with the Falklands war It was one of THL's classic moments..... I remember the Walt getting all shitty saying one of his Para best mates had died in
  4. Houdini put up 10 thousand dollars for anyone who could prove that they had super natural powers, many tried and he revealed every single one as a fraud and was able to recreate their powers on stage to demonstrate how they were doing it. I've been to two only because a mate wanted to go so I tagged along. This was about 30 years ago, the first was about 40 years old and was very generalised she told both me and my mate we knew a friend who was going to die in a motorbike accident who had long hair. Neither of us knew such a person and certainly no one died. She got a couple of things rig
  5. What a world we live in, a celebrity made by being a complete and utter c***. He should fade away into an embarrassing obscurity yet I've no doubt he will make a living out of this new found fame and probably be shipped into some "celebrity big brother house" in the near future. Putting his car up for a charity auction will be some press Max Clifford guru types management advice, I doubt Ronnie Pickering is the type to give to charity...
  6. This is very interesting http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3270269/The-picture-proves-two-inmates-DID-escape-Alcatraz-Notorious-escapees-didn-t-drown-body-surfed-passenger-ferry-freedom-started-farm-Brazil-claims-family.html
  7. So there IS an answer? Thank goodness for that Ive wondered for why for years. Mind you I suppose I could have googled it, BUT I promise I wont I want to hear what you and others have for a theory. Nice try BH not sure that quite works though
  8. Yep Phantom F4 amazing aircraft great looking thing One question I've never had an answer to is the Vulcan (except when the V bombers were all white) had an almost traditional camouflage pattern on the wings and fuselage. What I don't understand is why wasn't the underside duck egg blue or white as per traditional camouflage why was it the same as on top?????
  9. Modern warfare aircraft for a pure out and out fighter, the English Electric Lightning for me There used to be one of those in an old yard by the A1 at Newark. It was there for years, covered in graffiti, on show for everyone that drove by. Then a few years ago it had to be scrapped, I think it was in a dangerous state or something. Yes I remember that one, I also remember seeing them at Finningley airshow they were such an aggressive looking but beautiful thing. Malts correct the fuel consumption was horrendous, I recall watching a program several years ago and it said something lik

  12. Where my parents live, where I grew up, we were quite privileged really. They've probably seen the Vulcan a dozen times this summer, over the years obviously many more times. A couple of months back my dad saw it point it's nose up and floor it, climbing like feck and making a hell of a racket, right over the village. He'll take that memory to his deathbed I'm sure. It's not uncommon to see Spitfires, Hurricanes, The Lancaster, even Wellingtons and Dakotas. As well as modern aircraft obviously. Seeing a couple of F-15s real high, having what looked like a mock dogfight was cool. Th

  17. Thats a heart felt post, it can't be easy but as already been said for you to put up a post on here like that your mind seems already made up. I take it you've already tried or considered counselling for the both of you if not is it worth a shot? Good luck and best wishes for whatever you eventually decide to do. I don't know of your personal circumstances but I will say one thing if kids are involved please put them first before anything.
  18. He may have pulled a master stroke but Elton John isn't pleased and wants to tell him off for his country's anti gay stance. I bet Putins shitting himself
  19. Yep shoot I used to be on £50 fine if you shot a white pheasant.
  20. Thats just it he's nobody, one of the type of useless pricks that thinks the whole world revolves around his local boozer, has six pints and wants to kick off in front of the young kids in the kebab shop to get a "reputation" every council estate boozer has one.
  21. Didn't want to carry on with the do you know who I am act when he realised he was on film. Hilarious when the lad on the bike kept saying who? and Mr angry kept screaming "RONNIE PICKERING"
  22. I disagree with this. As a parent you are there to nurture, to guide, to advise, to correct and to provide an example to your children. This isn't a random "lets see what happens with them" situation. they're your children and should be brought up with basic values of wrong from right. I can tell you now 100% my son won't be smoking a cigarette in front of me (he's also 13), he knows the score and although our friendship is second to none he knows I'm his father not one of his mates.
