There was a documentary on discovery recently, they recreated the temperature achieved and the steels actually softened, you then had millions of tonnes above which just collapsed the building. They had two of the countries top demolition companies on and they showed (by collapsing a tower block) how much preparation was needed to cause a building to collapse under explosion. They said it would have taken over three weeks with a team of around 20 guys to install the explosives needed to drop the tower, they would have had to cut through walls to get to the steel structure to fit the explos

Not one bit of evidence has been uncovered to say it was a controlled explosion, the amount of explosive and set cord etc would have taken literally months to install including removing cladding to fix explosives to the structure. Went to a charity do last night at the Grosvenor Park Lane. It was the HMV charity Nordoff Robins do. Anyway David Beckham was the guest of honour and received a lifetime achievement award but one of the auction lots was to have lunch with David Beckham. It went for £55K... Now it's a fabulous charity and well done to the guy who won the bid but I'm astounded how much someone would be willing to bid to have a bite to eat with Becks..
