  1. Well done lads. I tailed a fish of the same size for a older chap down the river the other day. Took it on his first cast.
  2. Stay clear of badgers bud... It is an offence to disturb a active sett. But as said above keep her on a lead as by the sound of things she is keen as mustard and with no collar? It's a disaster waiting to happen. And by collar I mean a locator.. All the best..........
  3. The amount of fools around this area is unreal. It pisses me right off! As I can see them lamping away from my flat window.. But at the end of the day I know I'm a better dogman than them..
  4. Back at work tomorrow!!

  5. Put this vid up a while back.. Really educational! Atb
  6. A few seasons ago when it was rife with bunnies.. We used to get them up on the fields surrounding the moors. Best ground I have ever ferreted a now the numbers are zilch because of maxi.
  7. I must disagree with that statement.Although I don't own coursing dogs I use my dogs on both day and night. My beddy/grey will smash through cover after quarry during the day. But come time the lamps out it's a different dog and if he misses a slip lamp off, soon followed by the dog to be collared up again.
  8. He's a cracker bud! Hope he does you well next season. Atb
  9. Thank's lads!! I fish the system for a few years on a season ticket when I was a junior but gave up on trying to get a fresh run fish. Although I did take a few nice sea trout from the river, The biggest being 9lb 2oz and it was a outstanding fish. But I'm going to give it another bash on the next high water and decide if I take the plunge on a season ticket again.
  10. Cheers lads.. I'm chuffed with it and no dowt will have another go on the high water. Will get it filleted up netrigger and get a bit down to you for your tea. I took the fish on the run before the chapel hole around 10 o'clock on a black 'n' gold rapalah, The fish hit me on the drift 3 meters from the bank.
  11. Thanks lads. That's my first salmon and I'm over the moon. Back up for a cupa tea then back down the river. There was fish coming off all day and the best thing about it is I'm fishing on a day ticket that cost me £15 and it's well made up for it. Just seen a fish being landed of 15lb.
  12. Well I headed out this morning with a mate to fish the local river to try our hand at a spot of spinning. Fished away for about an hour and then all of a sudden bang and I was into my first salmon. We're back up for lunch and then back down to hit it hard. Here's the fish weight in at 11.5lb. will do a better write up when back up later. Atb
  13. Time to get the rods out and try the river!! Lets hope for salmon for dinner,
