    Hope your dog recovers and you enjoy getting out plenty with it, regardless of the ground you have to run it on. It's a shame that you have received so much abuse from so many sanctmonious pricks when you only asked a question regarding your dogs welfare, but good luck with your dog.

    12 weeeks.... Forget it for a while. Let the pup be a pup before its ruined. I don't think you can start too early with simple commands like heal - but keep the training sessions fun and short......and reward the pup whe he gets it right

    What would you advise for getting it stopped? make sure there no shit lying about for it to eat. My bitch is shocking for it! I saw her as a pup running up behind the terriers everytime they squatted - she had them tortured. They have separate supervised toilet sessions now. I really don't think there is a 'cure' as such.

    Phone the police and say it attacked YOU. It will then be seen as a more dangerous than attacking another dog. They will have to take action then.

    Albert, I wasn't at the show myself but I found the reports of hassle quite alarming - hope you manage to get it sorted for next time. Have you ever considered an obedience/working trial style competition for the terrier & lurcher show where people can display how well trained their dogs are, showing the public and dog handlers from other disciplines (i'm thinking gundog owners and maybe farmers who have working collies)that some people take the time and effort to train their dogs before letting them out to work in the fields?

    How does the vertical scale score? Does the dog get marks for the length of time he holds on or does he just have to grab it? How many tried does each dog get? It looks like the dogs enjoyed being there.

    I think iv seen this same picture more times and on more posts than any other picture in history on the huntinglife ! Possibly because it is a fine example of the breed. possibly Its just my observation im not commenting on the mans dog. I dont care who owns it,if i owned a dog as striking as that id want every b*****d to see it,whether they wanted to or not. Yes, me too!

    Stunning dogs, had one in the 70's, but things move on and the Bull and saluki x proved superior in the field at there respective jobs So would you say that Bull and Saluki X's prooved superior to Deerhound X's at Roe, especialy daytime...... Pre Ban, of course ! Cheers. Is this a pure or cross in this picture. It looks good.

    Iv'e never seen a ferret show. What way do they judge them? Do people take it as serious as the dogs........

    or this all cause some lazy dickhead dog owner would not take care of his nursing bitch the mans a nob or give the guy a few quid for his trouble. Where I live, the dog wardens are not an on call 24 hr dog welfare set up. They round up strays and fine people who let their dogs foul the streets.
