Excelent post ! I would humbley suggest, people start by throwing the telly out the window and start learning what's realy going on. If every person in Britain, spent till midnight tonight looking into what these b*stards are up to, the whole system would be torn down by morning.

Had a big tough old collie cross years ago, who would 100% back me up, if anyone was about when we were out lamping he would come very close to me and start up his low growl. Me and him spent a weekend in Tidworth police station once and the coppers had to fetch me out my cell everytime they wanted to go in the kennel, they were sh*t scared of him He could be a nasty bugger but good at his job.

I would sugest ingestion has a lot to do with it, if for example one has ingested a particularily high velocity vindaloo, then a sudden onset of wind at point of release could result in ones shot placement being proper fecked. I'll get me coat ! -

If it was a mobile speed gun ask to see the calibration history, they are notoriously innacurate. good luck. Edited to add, it must have been calibrated on the day to get a conviction.
