  3. I believe they were found in big flocks in towns and cities scavaging in the streets like gulls do today.
  4. Iv only seen them down south and didnt know they had been released up north or scotland in such numbers, i was also unaware of any in moorland areas but thats maybe just cos I live in my own little micro-cosom!

  13. every time i argue with our peg now im going to be looking at the fruit bowl in a whole new light, and her knicker elastic has got to be thick enough to make me one of those! 'I know iv left a dirty tea spoon on the work top, thats where it lives' BOOOSH!
  14. thats no problem, IN FRANCE!!!! We should eat more fresh water fish in the UK but on lakes were fish are stocked for catch and take or the owners give their agrement to fish being taken. Other wise gas the feckers!
  15. are they black and tan hounds? blood hounds? or are my eyes just really bad?
  16. I never said not the greatest life just not something to start if ur not 100 per cent commited. My years in hunt service were something i'll never regret and even tho people say there is no thanks in the job i think there was, real hunting people even if they arnt large in numbers will always reconise what you do behind the scenes. Good luck.
  17. Contact the MFHA and ask to put your name on the jobs list. Its prob a bit early in the year tho, hunt jobs start from 1st May. Also look in back of horse and hound especially Feb onwards. If your really serious and dont mind moving then there is no reason you cant get a kennelman job tho the way of life is not one to be undertaken lightly.
  18. Near Huddersfield. You could always support the nearby registered pack tho if your in that area

    EDL

The edl have black lads jewish lads even a gay division! Maybe they wont change anything themselves but times are changeing. When the asians first came over many tried to act british and a burka was a rare sight, now its common and asians and muslims are reverting to type. Young muslims are becoming more and more militant. As I said times are changeing and anything that is happening on the streets, even if it consists of empty heads who cant think for themselves, that help push the change along is to be welcomed. Study islam and see what it really stands for and you will realise what

  21. I have always mixed wheat in but when we ran out of pellets recently I filled a couple of bins up with straight wheat and found they wer scattering less food under the bins in their search for pellets, so im going to switch one bin at a time from now as you say. Do you provide grit to aid the change? wer on the edge of a grouse moor so going to borrow a few buckets of grouse grit, good idea? They get grit right from the minute they reach the pen mate. Just dump a couple of bags(obviously depends on numbers of birds) in 2 or 3 places around the pen and they'll scrape and peck away at it.

  23. Just wondering what feeders people prefare. We have a mix of both but I cant stand most of the spring feeders, first you need to wean the birds onto em now as we switch to wheat we are finding piles of wasted food as the birds search through the wheat to look for pellets. Also, tho we fence our feeders if lambs get to them in a wood they can get feed out the springs straight off wer as they dont seem to work out the pan feeeders that quick. From now on im making no more spring feeders!!
  24. They are only vermin and a pest if they are doing damage. If they are on my land which I pay money for then they are for me and my sport not for thieving p***y poachers.
