  1. What a crap weak ill thought out petition, talking about being able to hunt foxes with blood hounds??? cos 'its exciteing'.
  2. Flatpack, good traps, good service. They need tuneing up a bit though.
  3. The conservatives have only every promised a free vote, nothing more. Well done on getting into your local schools, that was my point exactly, dont moan about other peoples inaction ask yourself what you can do. Iv always helped the conservatives, and I guess they are the best hope for repeal but iv always wondered if a repeal back to the status quo is the best way forward. Like I said I believe if any aspect of fieldsports wants a legal future then they need to clean up their act and put forward a case for it being well run. Im also beginning to develope a nationalist political stance but
  4. Your right mate im scared of the dark and my upper-class bosses. Thing is mate iv heard half your insults from the animal rights lot! Yes of course all hunting people are upperclass! Maybe you should tell David Harcombe that terriermen who follow hunts are simply being used by the upperclass. Enjoy your hunting pal, all the best, Ian. ps. I never called you a gypsy, i said sadly my favourite sport has become synonomous with gypsy poachers. I also never assumed you were a poacher,i thought you said your sport has mainly been on the wrong side of legal, sorry if i mis-understood what
  5. My favourite sport was always courseing, unfortunatly courseing become synonomous with poaching thieveing gypo's. I hav maye 10,000 acres of permision but if i turned up with a running dog id loose it all because of the damage that poachers do on a weekly basis, and i mean damage not just runing the odd bit of game. We hav had 5 years to discuss [bANNED TEXT] to replace the ban with and everyones been obbsessed with repeal. The worst years of my life were living in hunt service and never knowing when the axe would fall, when id loose my job, my home. I dont want to go back to the status
  6. Well said boyo if i lived on a county estate instead of a council estate id let you poach it anytime
  7. Maybe in years gone by if the gentry and big land owners had been a bit more generouse regaurding letting the common man hunt on their cherised land the hunting ban would have never been implemented.atb dell Ok can I come and hunt on your land? Oh yes forgot you dont hav any.
  8. I dont know which hunts u hav been out with but certainly none of the 40 odd packs I have. If you have found people look down onyou maybe you hav an inferiorty complex. I would say contact me and I would personaly introduce you to the nearest packs to the wirral, im from Lancs so they are prob the ones I follow but as you have hinted that you have never followed a legal fieldsport anyway dont think i'll bother. Maybe you hae seen something different to me but I can honestly say, hand on heart I have never found what you have said to be true. And sport is never ment to be efficient is it you t
  9. If the tories win they will give a free vote on over turning the ban on all hunting with dogs. The majority of conservatives standing for election will vote for repeal. As for it just being mounted hunts, a massive proportion of packs of hounds dont use horses ie. beagles, fellhounds, bassets, mink hounds. Its not just toffs who hunt with hounds, i live on a council estate and have hunted with the best packs in the land. I believe the conservatives will not win with a big majority so we will end up with a hung parliment and no repeal. I usually find those who complain that the tor
  10. Im thinking of training up a pack of monkeys and getting around it that way.
  11. Dont get the keys from vauxhall. Just get the codes off a main dealer then get some made up cheaper elsewhere. The only place round here is a shop in southport, lancashire, they did me a chipped and programmed key for £30.
  12. only one pack of foxhounds i believe mainly harriers.
  13. I cant think of any real reason to use a dog when hunting with an air rifle, they would only scare your quarry. Ok tracking wounded game maybe but how many wounded rabbits are you getting?! If your out with the gun and want a companion dog then a lurcher or terrier would be my choice. Or even a retired greyhound, lovely quiet pet for her in doors and might just catch a rabbit or two that jump up running and dont give you a shot.

  16. This may sound like a daft question but do you get moles in Ireland? Just got back and didnt see mole hills anywhere.
  17. I had 2 gay pigeons once. They raised young and everything. Bent as 9 bob notes.

    new dog runs

Find somewhere that does cow mats and ask them if they hav any seconds, they really are a top notch bit of kit.
  21. As for them packing together, iv seen packs of beagles ruined through being allowed to hunt rabbit, I wonder if any packs of rabbit hounds will ever really hunt steady as a pack? Im not trying to be clever and hope someone can tell me different as we are thinking of starting a basset/beagle pack next year to hunt all quarry that runs (within the law).
  22. Last I heard steely was working in a yougart factory, no hunting, no terriers. Hope someone can tell me different as he was the first huntsman I ever saw. Its a different paul at the lunesdale.
