Bob Mee's book is a good'un... but its mostly stuff taken from Egans 'Boxiana'...i love reading about the old bare knuckle era...1790-1860s ...Jon Hurleys done a couple of good books from around that time about Cribb and Spring well worth a read...but if people want to read about a proper bare knuckle boxer...JEM MACE...FIFTY YEARS A FIGHTER...a cracking read written in the mans own words...an important piece of British and Boxing history...from the last of the Bare knuckle Champions and the first World Champion. Good boy Jason yes Mitchell is going places,look out for another lad Miles Shinkwin whos coming along nicely and of course Tony Conquest is another of Jasons fighters........Jimmy trained Jason and his brother Roy at the Black Lion back years ago.......a little story that was editted out of the book was when Chris Eubanks brother got beat by Roy twice on the spin and a week later turned up at the Black Lion demanding Jimmy train him........................to which he was abrupty shown the door after saying " do you know who my brother is " Theres some arrogance running through that Euban

For those that enjoy Boxing and like a good read...i highly recommend...Jimmy Tibbs..'Sparring with life'...someone with a life story worth telling...unlike a lot of those gangster/hardmen type books

Good fight last night...(but the O'Kane one was a f****n mess!)...think the Mcguigans have done a good job with Frampton...got one of the best cornermen with Jimmy Tibbs on board...cant see what everybodys problem with Barry is...been good for boxing in my opinion...i get that Boxnation for a £10 a month...good value the amount of fights they have on there over the year

i remember watching an old interview with cus demato, he said they only test they had for picking tysons 1st ten opponents was to hold a mirror under their nose to check they were breathing...lol. back in the day, unless you was an out and out boxing fan, you wouldn't hear of a fighter till he had a good few fights under his belt and was proving himself. nowadays, as others have said, they get a medal, turn pro and are headlining shows on their 1st bout! bad for the game i.m.o. talkng about throwing joshuah in with ranked fighters when he's just starting off is just silly talk, everyone has to

I might be wrong but isnt Ustinov a top 10 rated fighter......IBF number 8.....WBA number 9.....and Chisora number 8 with the WBA......so its not as if he wasnt on Furys level if Chisora was on his level..................Ustinov would also of been fighting a man he hadnt prepared for......plus only being in sparring shape NOT in fight shape like Fury was..............................at the end of the day if you dont want a fight for whatever reason dont sign to it........if this hasnt showed Fury that his team are just not up to it and not experienced/professional enough in boxing matters.....
