The streets are full of more pitbulls than poodles...they better get a bigger coffin!
-
dont mind boxers 'gobbing off'...but gobbing on people...thats low... right mate...even circus clowns dont do that
-
put up 'send in the clowns' or 'gob on you' by not the nine o'clock news team

Chisoras ring walk music you playing there Tuffy

His mouth runs away with him for sure...i dont know all the business side of it...wasnt a fight worth taking...dont see as he really ducked anyone significant

Only at heavyweight in my opinion. I'd say definitely at heavy, but also to varying degrees at every weight. Outside of heavy modern fighters on top of that have much better speed and conditioning. You use Calzaghe as an example but even a fighter like Hatton would have had an unheard of work rate. Which of Wlad's challengers do you think had better speed and conditioning than say Ali's challengers? Do you think Hatton's work rate is higher than Henry Armstrong's ,[ retired in1945,] or Beau Jacks,[ retired in 1955?] And those guys were fighting an extra 3 rounds. Armstrong

They were slower smaller and weaker for that very reason.....can you imagine the Robinson/LaMotta series of fights with todays advances in training/nutrition ? They were unbelievable fights and they were men off the streets in physical comparison....................its like comparing Roger Bannister to Seb Coe......was Coe a FASTER runner of course he was......was he a BETTER runner not necessarily. Bannister was a sprinter, Coe was an 800metres specialist, but I see the analogy and its misleading.Track surfaces and different shoes have helped, and men are bigger , but running is relative

Fury was contracted to fight Chisora...he trained for weeks to fight Chisora...chisora pulls out with a few days to go...why would he want to fight Chisora's sparring partner?!...whats that really worth to him...he's obviously talking about not ducking boxers on his level...Chisora Haye Wilder ect...not taking on all-comers in the phones4u arena car park!

Good finish from Billy Joe Saunders last night...Gipsy lad from fighting stock...personaly i couldnt care less how hes bred...good young boxer...on the verge of fighting for a world title...but wants to get it on with Eubank junior just to shut him up!...fair play to him should be a good'un!...Golovkin won in style in the 3rd...pure class!...still entertaining fights to be had in this day and age
-
Not like the old timers ...you cant sit there year after year watching boxing going...oh hes not as good as mike tyson or comparing every one to Muhamad Ali...if your team gets relegated down to league one and sells their best striker you dont stop supporting...if the team gives its best theres still entertaining matches to be had..Furys may not make world Champion...but it will be entertaining watching him go for it...British people just want to slag everything off...Furys turn at the moment (well at least it gives Khan a rest)...if any other European country would of had a boxer as good as C

What you trying to say there RossM...????

He was found out the 1st time he fought john McDermott. McDermott beat him in that fight. and the ref gave fury the decision. Just showes you how crooked the boxin game is. The bbboc demanded a rematch straight after the fight because of it. Absolutely shocking. tikka i always said john mcdermott had his number, he was hard work for tyson And in the re-match Fury had Mcdermott down a couple of times before stopping him!...it always looked to me like the only number Mcdermott had was his local kebab shops!...Sorry not to jump on the band wagon boys but reading this thread

I remember my old man and uncles watching Clay/Ali and all they wanted to see was someone shut his mouth...its nothing new what Furys doing...just trying to sell the fight...years back i saw a very young Tyson Fury fight in a cow shed in front of a bunch of farmers...(local joke it was the royal norfolk show ground)...thought he was a talented kid...he was down here a few weeks back to see his younger brothers pro debut...he comes across alot differnt outside the ring..(certainly cant remember him spitting in anyones face!)....i dont think we seen the best of him yet...shame to see him messed

It only takes putting the word 'Irish' in front of the word 'Staffordshirebull' to turn a thread into a rare old donnybrook at 2.30am...back when i used to come on the forum regular lads would always be saying stuff like..."i come from Ireland and my uncles had Staffs 60 year and we aint heard of no Irish Stafford or we aint heard of no Dublin red strain"...then their fellow country man RickyB publishes a book with Darcy full of pictures and write ups of those very dogs...gave us all a good chuckle...maybe some Irish mothers brothers didnt know as much as they thought...then theres the storys

"Don't forget,EBT's were created for the show bench, form never followed function..!!"...and theres the truth of it right there!...the EBT never was a working breed...for it to be a EBT it has to look like an EBT...and when breeding for 'looks' working abilty gets compromised
-
I compare the Stafford to the Pitbull much the same as i look at my old Landrover...i know theres better 4X4s out there...but my trusty old Defender can still do a job for me
-
I have had a few Staffords over the years that where racy types as you discribe...capable of running certain quarry on the lamp with some success...did fancy the idea of putting an old dog of mine over a whippet for a handy little first X...but you got to be honest with yourself...a lot of the lines of Staffords (and im not just talking the show stuff) are riddled with knee and hip problems...many Stafford owners dont like to admit this...many may get away with it or put it down to old age...but i could see them problems showing themselves early on in a running dog...i love the old Staff's...a

Over the years ive owned dogs out of...amongst others...Psycho/Beanie...Red strain/Flynn... and even a splash of that hated Stormer blood...many would call these lines 'Irish' as those lines was founded over there...i never used the term Irish in relation to the dogs i had...much of the mentioned blood has been diluted by peddlers...but some still produces good examples of working Staffords to this day...(in my opinion)

Fair play to you dare...a lot of lads 'talk' about culling and putting to sleep...but when it really comes down to it thats all it is ...talk...couldnt of been an easy thing to do...had to call time on an 15yr old Stafford a couple of years back needed doing but that was hard enough...felt like i had let him down betrayed him after all wed been through...so can imagine how gutted you must of felt...but what i will say is...a lot of dogs have the odds stacked against them from day one...being put in the wrong situation from the start...in the late 80's i was around Staffords and pitbulls throug

Just 'mentioned' what i know to be fact...only so long you can sit an stomach a thread full of people making excuses for other peoples man biters...nothing personal...and i maybe right...but im not mr wright...All the best

Thinks so...bit snappy around people as well

its hard to get small ones today, they sound like very handy ones to have around, always prefered the smaller type myslef. atb, j Bosun11, This was the type I remember in Southern Ireland back in the 70's. The skinhead culture was not as evident as in the UK but there were pockets in the cities. These small staffs were everywhere at that time, some older Staff breeders must know where they came from. Mostly a dark red colouring with black muzzles if I remember correctly. First Staffs registered in the US.jpg The Stafford bitch on the right is similar in build, small, ligh
