  1. darren i found the main problem was when they come into season, i managed to keep the 9 i had in with the vasectomised hob , he served them and they seemed to not squabble and didnt appear to have the phantom pregnancys . but when he died i had problems, had to seperate all the jills & had then in 9 seperate cages, what a complete nightmare, scrapping, squeeling at all hours of the day & night. Personally if you dont intend to breed in the future get then spayed , Dale what exactly did you think i said, please do tell Bob behave yourself
  2. I say 10 if i am correct what do i win
  3. Jills are a pain in the back side when trying to mix them, i hadnt had any jills for 7 yrs untill we took this stray one in 3 months ago basically for that very reason, there territorial, hormonal & downright awkward, i wouldnt normally be so scathing of a ferret but jills do my head in with there snapping at nothing , mabe its cause i am exactly the same & a bit to close for comfort fiesty hormonal bitch Give me a garden full of hobs anyday

    friday the 13 th

Same here wet to the skin some muppet thought it would be amusing to drive through a huge puddle & soak me on my way to work at half 4 so i was froze when i got to work and had nowt to change into, so i am in a bad mood now . he was smiling as he did it thats what got me & i swore very loud oh well its only a bit of water
  8. I would only seperate if the smaller ferret becomes obviously withdrawn & off its food, as well as trying to escape from the bigger ones attentions, Why not have the bigger one out first & tire it out engaging it in loads of play for half an hour or so, then bring the smaller one out first, they drag each other round by the neck, ears, face & head its rough play but normal, they squeel at each other also, thats perfrctly normal just watch the situation & act accordingly, if the tiny ones obviously distressed then just pop it back in the cage i dont believe in this chuc
  9. Same as your jill she was pregnant when we took her in , so no idea what the dad was
  10. Well i suppose it depends on how advanced they are, mines 5 weeks old tomorrow & very mobile, but having said that she hasnt had any competition for food etc so she has had everything herself
