  1. I had the same thing with my litter and I culled the whole litter, does that mean I "bucketed" them? I did what I belived to be the kindest thing. I personally would never keep a ferret with a bent spine, IMO Its best for the ferret to be pts. Just because I put a unhealthy litter to sleep dosent mean I "bucketed" them Good luck with the ferrets dougie, hope they all do well H&J Errrr i dont recall saying you did anything , whats the problem

Heres a couple of pics of my lad & the ferrets One taken with Jaws he seems to have a calming effect on her, she rips my hands to pieces One of him holding george , waiting to put him back in his cage, and what a pantomine that turned out to be, there very strong & it took borh of us to wrestle him in the cage & shut the door
  5. Doug your welcome i am so glad there on the mend & i cant take all the credit , you put in the hours tending to them, like i said to you the jills over protective nature was what you observed & that will stick in my mind for the future incase anyone else has a simmilar problem Well done for sticking with it & not bucketing them its been hell for you watching them fade & then seeing them pick up , do pat yourself on the back lad you deserve it

  16. Its sexist what about a parade of you blokes half naked as well to equal it up taken with a dog of course
  17. Oh i forgot to say i have used Virkon in a powder form you make it up yourself with water in a spray bottle, have a look online it may be more cost effective than this pre diluted stuff in spray bottles, i think you can buy small packets as i have done & larger tubs of the stuff, check it out I seem to recall a spray bottle full dont last to long so buying pre diluted may be expencive
  18. All you can do is try, personally if the bigger ferrets still a kit it may be easier than trying to introduce new kits to an adults territory, i would find some secure neutral ground such as a small cage, put the bigger jill in the cage & let the kits sniff her from outside the cage, then swap bedding from the kits cage to her cage several times , you may be lucky & they get along right away , but take your time , do it over a week or so if the initial intro's are a bit dodgy, just keep trying , but if either party become to stresssed i wouldnt push itthings tend to have a knack of hap
  19. Happy Birthday Snoops
  20. I have no idea as the mom was a stray we took in in April this yr, so its anybodys guess
  21. I cant believe how much the kit has changed, she is now getting darker & more poley colouring on her back & head, her legs are still a dark silver & her tail is, i suppose when she gets her winter coat i will have more of an idea of what colour she will be then
