  1. yes it was i had to get it out of the silt . then it ran off after a man with 2 Labrador's so i legged it quick before it came back

  3. I did ask when the list was started to only put there details if they were ok with homing to ferreters .... so i assume as they included there details that its fine

Sometimes it happens ... she could have given birth & eaten the kits ... i would expect a jill thats losta litter to come back into season rapidly ........ if its been weeks & weeks since the eta then i would go with the phantom pregnancy Was the hob in with her while she was pregnant & up to the expected delivery

  10. They had forecast rain all day here today so its been a bonus

  12. i had a good walk this afternoon as it stayed dry all day so made the most of it .. i had a little dog follow me around for a good hour...no idea whose it was but it got stuck in the silt & guess who had to fish it out :laugh: Also the boat photo is rather sad ... its been revealed since the dam has been drained ... 3 people lost there lives in the boat in the 1930's 2 were children A few young swans splashing about a a small herd of deer led by dancer the hind who barks at me ... she made it clear today in no uncertain terms ... so i took a few pics & went on my way
  13. I used a canon 20d to take these with a canon 55/250 lens on it I do need to get a sucker thing to clean the mirror though i noticed a sundry blob on the pics i took yesterday when i was taking pics of a gull in the sky

I had a quick stroll around the village this morning .. spotted the swans nesting on a very unsuitable nest again right by the footpath they did this last year ... the cob was on it yesterday & again this morning while the pen flitted about .. she has got it right Also on the way back i stopped to watch a blackbird rooting about for food ... very commical when a rival came down .. she saw it off in a flash i also spotted a pair of greebs but the pics arnt very good as they were to far away to get a decent close up

  18. I couldnt see the ticks at first they were tiny then i spotted the legs moving :sick: i dont think they had been on there long thankfully ..

  20. I just used a cotton bud to hold the bee still for a few seconds & a small pair of tweezers .. they came away quite easily thankfully ... she picked up & started to flap about so i took her out the back garden & she flew away ... i did get this one before she went

After following Toni's thread about the ltt with the tick , i spotted a bee this afternoon on the sill ... it looked a bit knackered so i watched it for a while & then it dropped off the sill & just didnt move I picked it up to have a closer look & no wonder it was buggered it had 2 ticks on it ... i managed to carefuly get them off .... horrible things
  22. The simplest way to avoid any kind of infections / viruses being passed on is to quarantine any new arrivals ...... thats should be an absolute must if you take ferrets in
  23. I had an hour to kill so went a quick walk to see if i could get some action shots ... i used a gull as the subject & some came out ok
