The country does not harbour me I live here just the same as any one else I pay my taxes dont break the law other than the hunting ban so how your rights are any greater than mine? Combat is something that is adapted to terrain location and foe you think You have a monopoly on conflict the persian empire military history goes back a lot longer the GB If you want to twist things Persia is different to Iran. We can take the history of this island back before GB like you have with Iran. Of course combat is adaptive, but that's beside the point, you said that the Brits believe wars are won

I've heard it all now, Britain is probably militarily the most succesfull country in world history and apparently we have a lot to learn about combat..... For such a hater Desertbred you pick a hell of a place to reside. Your lack of allegiance to the country that harbours you is disgusting.

Never worn a single piece of jewelry in my life, not even a watch. I can't see myself ever wearing one and if the woman in question is suspicious of that then we're probably not in the right place to get married. It'd drive me f***ing crazy.

Okay, I appreciate that. But those advisors have been carrying out their role before this situation. The infantry of the Yorks Regt were deployed in an operational role as a result of this situation like the SF lads. I saw that as a distinction and it seemed like your comment was in response to my original statement. Either way we're on the same page now.

LOL. That's neither here nor there. British Army have been in Iraq, like I said. Of course SFs are involved on the front line but you're wrong about them being the only Brits to have entered Iraq.

Nope; In his interview, the defence secretary confirmed that a small number of regular British soldiers were sent briefly into the semi-autonomous Kurdish north of the country. The troops from 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment were flown into Irbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, last week to prepare for a possible deployment of Chinook helicopters on a mission to save Yazidi families. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/18/uk-prepared-military-isis-cameron-iraq

I can't remember the Regt but I heard that Army personel opporating out of Cyprus have already been on the ground in Iraq as a security force for possible local evacuation. The evacuation was called off but they remain on standby. Is this the same thing Socks? Or has the likes of 16 Air Assault been put on standby which to my understanding would indicate a real consideration by the UK Govt to use the Army in an offensive role?

Mission creep is going to be a possibility without clear objectives and goals. I don't think at this stage UK infantry is needed or wanted, there doesn't seem a shortage of Kurds and Iraqis willing to take back their home lands. What they need is air, intelligence and logistical assets in the form of fast jets and drones etc. These things are game changers. I don't think a long dirty campaign is on the cards. More publicly acceptable action is what we'll see. Though I doubt we'll see UK forces moving in in Brigade strength it's not too much to imagine other serious offensive assets bei

I'm having to google a lot of these words! Such is my unfamiliarity with dishonour and immorality.

only the start mate, bad times to come I don't think so personally mate. With the intelligence and air power assets of American and British forces the Iraqi and Kurdish ground troops now have a power advantage. UK/US Military advisors will be right at the top of local commands helping coordinate the offensive. I can't see a conflict like Afghan/Iraq2003 on the cards again, not yet. Ironically, Iraq, Syria and Iran now have a very unorthodox alliance with the UK and US through a common enemy.

Well, US Navy F/A 18s are dropping a whole load of peace and freedom on extremist Islamists right now.

And its taken you 46 pages to realise that ....it took me about 10......and theres me thinking thinking im the dunce and your the boffin I'm just stubborn with a unhealthy chunk of OCD and I bite like a week starved trout! I'm also an alleged idiot and lier.... think yourself lucky try being a mod on here The Mod prayer; "Lord, give me the strength to resist temptation................ and not ban this f***ing TWATING c**t!........... Lord amen...." That's not aimed at anybody before someone takes it to heart. Just me having a laugh.

Gnasher, I could continue and take you up on several points in that post but I've had enough quite frankly. Shit like this isn't for the internet. You believe what you like, I have no problem with that. I simply came here to talk about science, which was being missrepresented. I didn't come here to prove or dissprove Gods existence and I haven't tried to. When asked about my lack of belief in god I gave my reasons but I've not questioned anybody elses faith. Believing something to be false and accepting it to be a possibility are not mutually exclusive principles.

Serious bri, I'm done. I'm not a lier but I'm fairly confident right minded folks reading this realise that. But hey, you wanna go about calling folks idiots and liers, crack of fella. I've tried explaining to you TBBT but it's just not clicking with you so to quote the great man himself "insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting a different outcome".
-
f**k it, I'm done! Idiot and lier........ you decide folks.

I think it's time to give up mate. You arguing with someone who knows it actually can't be scientifically proved. A quick google I found someone who is willing to pay 10 thousand dollars to anyone who can prove it scientifically in a court of law knowing fine well there are too many loopholes for it to be rubbished. I'm a catholic but I can't bring myself to believe in such a fairy tail. The only thing I'm arguing about mate is The Big Bang Theory and that has a huge amount of evidence. That doesn't mean god didn't start it all. But Bri has all this maths and science that proves other

WTF am I doing wrong Mush? LOL. I'm an idiot and a lier now! ha. The only reason I came on this thread was to correct BBBs use of science. I've produced quotes from the heavyweights of science that dissprove his understanding of thermodynamics, I've explained why TBB was not everything from nothing, I've explained why expansion would not cause the moon to wizz of into space. Seriously, it's like I'm talking to a foreigner. I've not questioned or ridiculed anybodies faith but I'm being treated like the f***ing anti christ. I've ridiculed plenty of BBBs science though.
-
See above... I'm a lier, this based on the same logic as you use to justify your god?
-
BBB, you keep asking me for my theory, it's the one you believe doesn't hold any credability, The Big Bang theory. I asked you if you were familiar with the work of Hubble and Einstein, the two people largely credited with turning scientific opinion towards it and you said you were. I'm not sure what more you want me to explain? Do I have to sit down and produce you a report on TBBT taking in to account Hubbles data, Einstein's General relitivity work and the predictions made by the theory that were later discovered? Do I also have to explain to you the limitations of this theory? I mean,

Its absolutely nothing to do with " winning "..........your entry into this thread was anger....me too.............i dont see reason for folk to ridicule/belittle another man because he has a different version of truth to them........truth that cannot be proven either way....................if it was clear black and white yes i get that.....but when they have the attitude of.... " you retarded c**t you dont believe the truth i cant prove ".........that irritates me,the whole contradiction thing. Its no different to any other subject that cant be totally proven with facts in that people wil

Gnasher, I really don't get where you are going with this, it's like you think there needs to be a winner. There can never be a winner, science and faith are polar opposites. Science evidence based belief, faith by definition is belief in the absence of evidence. If God showed himself to us it would'nt require any faith to believe in him would it? You want to have an argument of logic on a topic that is illogical.... There's never going to be this "haha we win" moment in this argument. It's completely pointless. I only entered this thread in anger, so to speak, to talk about science. I'm n

My point was we can all defend our corner with certain words and explannations that suit our way of thinking......i could make West Ham sound like a great football club with a certain play on words and my choice of certain explannations..................a Spurs or Arsenal fan could come along and make what i just said look like a pile of nonsense does that therefore mean i didnt speak the truth ? of course it doesnt. I'm not using clever words to make myself sound right, I'm using logic, very simple logic. How hard have you studied the Bible/God ?.......my guess would be not very hard How ca

I give up We're talking different f***ing languages I'm sure.
