  1. The second ammendment wasn't written to protect a citizens right to defend themselves or hunt, it was written to protect against tyranny. Also in all probability the weapon wasn't automatic.Ok semi if you want but fully automatic weapons are legal in the US . The second amendment was written at a time when flintlock muskets were a the weapon of the day . It may have worked then but I just dont see how it works in modern times with modern weapons and modern problems. When was the last time weapons were raised against tyranny? My personal opinion is that its time for America to move forward and
  2. A lot of folks are rubbishing her but I'm cautiously optimistic given the options. If that's true then it just reinforces what I believe. We'll see...
  3. Americans, particularly Texans often pride themselves on their independence and in all probability considered such an act their civic duty. Do we or you really know anything about the Individual? You've decided he was a gun toting redneck that wanted a kill, personally I think you are a mile off in understanding these people's mindset.

  5. I read about loads of these incidents. They are never publicised in mainstream media, much like incidents of cops shooting white folk. On the face of it the chap saw a threat to the public and dealt with it like a true citizen. That is entirely the point in an armed populace! It happens quite regularly and I totally support it.
  6. The industry is going to be in a tight spot for a couple of years. The recovery was never going to be quite what some analysts were claiming. Maybe hit $70 by the new year at best! And as soon as it does, all those yank shale drillers will fire back up and keep the price there. Well, unless someone could bomb an Aramco pipeline or the Iranians threaten to shut off the Strait of Hormuz. That'd be grand! LOL
  7. Hundred acres of barley sprayed off and disced in, same with a load of wheat. Not sure what that's all about? Not had chance to ask. Make for a decent bit of pigeon shooting though now the spring rape is too tough....
  8. I was using investigation fairly liberally, to even include traffic offences. If your demographic is more likely to be investigated it's reasonable to say that that demographic will suffer more f**k ups as a result. Making it look disproportionate as a percentage of relitive population size. I agree, it's f***ing tragic that these things happen. And if policing procedures can be changed to reduce it without inhibiting effectiveness and officer safety then it should come straight from the President himself!
  9. Well both yours and WILF's post only talk about criminals, I thought we were talking about unarmed citizens killed by the police so found that a bit strange. As I have learned over the years mate......we are all a f***ing expert after the event! What would you or I do at the precise moment?.......would you gamble your life or pull the trigger and go home to your wife and kids and worry about it after? That's the crux of it right there my friend See I agree that most of these killings are honest f**k ups by the police. I just think even honest f**k ups should have consequences and if the same f**
  10. I don't think there's an assumption that they're criminals, just that they're not being disproportionately victimised. Though I'm sure any reasonable person would be open to stats to the contrary. Like wilf I don't think it's fair to judge it by victims as a proportion of total relitive population, that assumes criminality rates are equal. Surely it's fairer to judge as a proportion of convicted criminals within each relative Population? Though of course that in itself makes the assumption that arrest and conviction rates are fair in both cases, which of course they may not be if the polic
  11. Harvard grads involved in ponzie schemes don't usually put up much of a fight when busted by the FBI! LOL. Kinda skews the stats.
  12. Non compliance and behaviour that constitutes a potential threat are different. If I was told not to go for my pocket by an ARU I'd fully expect to be shot for non compliance. I wouldn't expect to be shot for non compliance if told to show my ID while spread Eagle and motionless! Lol. Look I f***ing hate authority, I accept law enforcement as a necessary part of government and government as necessary for the sustainability of liberty. Libertarians are just more reasonable and pragmatic anarchist! In a similar way to a commy running the labour party in a capitalist economy for a monarch is
  13. Well that might appear strange to someone who ain't a libertarian. A libertarian accepts that a degree of authority is necessary for the protection of liberty, they might not like the police but accept them as a necessary evil. A necessary evil that must carry guns to enforce the law in a country that retains the freedom for all citizens to carry themselves. Libertarianism has shit all to do with safety. And cops shooting civies in clusterfuck misunderstandings are not executions. A defensive shooting is not an execution, even if it was irrational. But yes I personally am against all this, i
  14. Personally I can't imagine living in a country where the state can summarily execute you in the street for the heinous crime of putting your hands in your pockets. Land of the free indeed You do! UK Armed police would respond exactly the same to such a potentially threatening behaviour. The difference in the US is that all police interaction are of that type. He was pulled for having a broken rear light, hardly threatening if you ask me.Don't act daft. He wasn't shot because of his bust tail light. No just for the documents that he was asked to produce apparently? 'Aparantly' huh! Any

  16. I couldn't comment as I don't know if it's procedural, cultural, public education or what. There ain't an easy solution.
  17. Personally I can't imagine living in a country where the state can summarily execute you in the street for the heinous crime of putting your hands in your pockets. Land of the free indeed I couldn't imagine being a police officer going to work everyday wondering if someone is going to shoot me just because I've decided to pull there car over that day. 7 cops killed at traffic stops in 2015. 7 out of however many million traffic stops across the US. Pretty good odds IMO. They're now known by their colleagues as 'slow draw'! LOL But seriously, does that statistic really comf

That's the difference though isn't it, armed response in the UK are only going to be there if there's a reason. I don't have to worry about being gunned down by the state if I don't follow their instructions to the letter duri

  20. Why? There are literally millions of firearms owners and hundreds of millions of firearms in the US, if that was such a bad thing the country would kill itself overnight.
  21. The fundamental cause of all this ain't inanimate lumps of steel and brass, it's cultural, a self fore filing prophesy of a racially dual class society. The freedom of firearm ownership and use only exacerbates any conflict.
  22. The raptors in the JP franchise were basically Deinonychus but named after their smaller cousin the Velociraptor because it's a sexier name. So something similar did exist, albeit feathered yeah.
  23. If I'm limited to one then it'd either be Jurassic-Cretacious or one of the periods of exploration and adventure at a time when the Americas, the Dark continent and India/Asia were unspoilt. Basically I want to live in a Conan Doyle Novel! LOL
  24. Mine's finished now. Starts with the tree pollen in Feb then the Rape fucks me in Spring. By June I'm good, the grass pollen doesn't seem to bother me. If I'm in the woods in a different part of the country in Spring I can puff up like a f***ing myxi rabbit!
  25. Need I say anymore...... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/08/dallas-shooting-two-police-officers-wounded-as-shots-fired-at-ra/
