Yep! Politicians are reacting before all the evidence has been assessed. But that's politics, bit difficult to pretend to be friends when you suspect they have just f****d you! Do you not think that a Russian state sactioned hit is supposed to send a message? The message is a very quiet one if no one suspects it was them. I think that Putin is in a very strong position, everyone 'knows' it was him and yet no one can prove it was. The message is bold without risk of justified retaliation. Of course you're right, they have come from somewhere but as a being of free will and reasoned thought I, like every other the same as me, have chosen what morals I think are best. You're passing off stats that you haven't provided though and claiming a correlation that as far as I can see is demonstrably wrong. You said there's a correlation between bibles in schools and the crime rate and that bibles have been being taken out of schools. Well the crime rate has dropped in the last near 30 years, so have the number of bibles increased? If not then your correlation is no longer a correlation.

What crime rate getting worse? Violent, property and total crime has been decreasing in america for nearly the last 30 years! I guess that must mean there has been a marked increase in bibles in schools then? Ya know, to follow that correlation.... Or perhaps not recorded but actually a black market increase in undocumented bibles in schools!

So are you saying that it's right that a state should be able to pass a law that bans atheists from holding office? In extension to that then surely it would also be right to ban atheism full stop? It's perfectly fine for the religious beliefs of US officials, judges and lawmakers to be on the table for electoral pressure, they just can't and shouldn't be on the table for legal pressure. Alternatively mate, to keep shit real simple, just buy a trail camera that has a micro usb rather than a mini usb. My Accorn has a min usb (common 'standard' size) but I have seen cameras that use micro. As I said, the Accorn stuff come a micro-mini usb cable for plugging into female mini usb ports (laptops etc). And also a mini SD card port, so you can remove the card and plug into an adaptor for whatever type of port you want, just find the relevant adaptor. Bit more info on what camera you want and what tab or phone you want to use it with and me or someone else will be able to po

I can think of a fast way to curb that shit. Reintroduce a bit of reciprocity into the justice system! They'll not be quite so keen to permanently disable or disfigure someone if they thought that a judge might be sentencing them to the same. Tablets often only take micro usb whereas trailcams are often mini usb and removable sd card. In both cases you can buy an adapter off Amazon or wherever to do the job. In fact it's better than a laptop because you can take ya tablet into the field with you and assess your photos and better position your camera straight away without having to go home to do it.

I'm not convinced or persuaded by it. Seems all too common that the victim is arrested while the police decide if they are a criminal or not. In cases like this, no I don't support it.

Depends if the Police and CPS are convinced that the force was necessary and proportionate. If they think there's anything to suggest the force was unnecessary for the protection of life then they will shift the responsibility of deciding that to a jury. If there was some sort of castle doctrine, that wouldn't happen.

Appears he hasn't been charged yet. At this stage simply arrested and under investigation. Which I'd still be inclined to say is a step too far but in line with our current laws at least. I'd have piss all faith he won't charged though.

I think that is a fair comment. It's as simple as this, the american people seem to value officials that are at the very least openly spiritual, it's part of the electorates criteria, whatever their individual reasons for that. That's fine, that's the will of the people. It therefore wouldn't be surprising if prospective and existing politicians put on a show of spirituality so as to not exclude themselves from the game. What I think I understand is as follows; Seven states have it in law that a godless heathen cannot hold office, that's their state law (either constitutional or statute, I'm not sure). However, the US constitution has supremacy over the states!
