  1. A few potential explanations.... I'm not sure how a single Prof from Cornell Uni is "infinitely more qualified" than a man that has all the labcoats at DSTL as advisers? Explained by this perhaps? https://www.newscientist.com/article/2163502-what-are-novichok-nerve-agents-and-did-russia-do-it/ I'd like to see the questions raised in your link answered as well. I don't think some of the assertions made by the author are quite as conclusive as he seems to imply. They're still valid questions.
  2. youre right but im ugly as f**k! Anyway, why's that mean I can't take an interest in this stuff?
  3. Yep! Politicians are reacting before all the evidence has been assessed. But that's politics, bit difficult to pretend to be friends when you suspect they have just f****d you! We can't expect proof beyond all reasonable doubt because we'd just about be the worlds whipping boy. And we can't give our government free reign because then we get a mess like Iraq. This reminds me of the Assad chemical weapons attack allegations a few years back. Same discussions on this site, same people saying it's a false flag by the yanks and that we need to wait on the U.N. investigation. Certain that
  4. I'd have to say because they know there will be no real repucussions (certainly wont be without something concrete) and a show of patriotic strength like this suits Putin's administration. He's only gained respect from his fans on here at least as example. Avoiding getting into a debate about who caused what in Ukraine and Syria you think the yanks are behind this? The trump administration? I honestly don't think anyone wins here except Putin. No one is going to do anything that Putin would care for and this event sends the message of a powerful russia he wants. Right at election
  5. Do you not think that a Russian state sactioned hit is supposed to send a message? The message is a very quiet one if no one suspects it was them. I think that Putin is in a very strong position, everyone 'knows' it was him and yet no one can prove it was. The message is bold without risk of justified retaliation. Regarding the Wests response to this alleged crime, can such critical policy decisions really need the 'beyond all reasonable doubt' criteria of proof that a court would? Or do we have to make intelligence based decisions because 'beyond all reasonable doubt' would leave us
  6. I understand the crime stats, I'm saying you haven't provided bible stats. Mate, if there is only correlation for half the data span then it's a bit f***ing speculative to conclude jack all from it! Frankly there's probably a stronger correlation with population growth! Albeit inverse. Does that mean the elimination of bibles causes procreation?
  7. Of course you're right, they have come from somewhere but as a being of free will and reasoned thought I, like every other the same as me, have chosen what morals I think are best. From the day you are born and able experience society we are overwhelmed with experiences and opinions to develop our morality. If you follow the teachings of the bible, it's because you chose to and of course how you interpret and apply those is a matter of free will too. If our morality is programmed (divinely I presume) and not a matter of free will then surely the individuals religion is irrelevant, the imp
  8. You're passing off stats that you haven't provided though and claiming a correlation that as far as I can see is demonstrably wrong. You said there's a correlation between bibles in schools and the crime rate and that bibles have been being taken out of schools. Well the crime rate has dropped in the last near 30 years, so have the number of bibles increased? If not then your correlation is no longer a correlation.
  9. What crime rate getting worse? Violent, property and total crime has been decreasing in america for nearly the last 30 years! I guess that must mean there has been a marked increase in bibles in schools then? Ya know, to follow that correlation.... Or perhaps not recorded but actually a black market increase in undocumented bibles in schools!
  10. I'm sorry mate, I'm sure that makes sense to you christian folk but to me it's just utter shite. I don't mean that disrespectfully. The bible is open to interpretation for a start and a f**k ton of godly men have committed terribly inhuman acts, sometimes in the name of divinity and sometimes irrespective of it. Every single individual with free will chooses their morals and actions. They can choose to follow a code written out for them or they can choose to follow an unwritten code taught to them from their elders and peers (society) or they can choose to make up whatever code, or lack of, th
  11. I don't see how what you are saying is any way problematic. Unless of course you think that those religious teachings should be forced into a countries, in this case the US', constitution/law. So are you saying that it's right that a state should be able to pass a law that bans atheists from holding office? In extension to that then surely it would also be right to ban atheism full stop? It's perfectly fine for the religious beliefs of US officials, judges and lawmakers to be on the table for electoral pressure, they just can't and shouldn't be on the table for legal pressure. 12. Funnily enough on the radio this morning, some kids in Nott's were robbed at knife and gun point last night. A bb gun was found near by but the knife is believed to be real enough. I don't want to be painting a shitty picture of my local city but like I said, something I have noticed this year.
  13. I've got one of these. Happy enough with it. https://www.ukwildlifecameras.co.uk/trail_cameras/standard_trail_cameras_/12mp_ltl_acorn_940nm_5210a_P629.html If you also buy one of these, You should be able to just remove the micro SD from the SD adaptor/chasis and plug it into your tablet's micro SD port. That'll keep things pretty straightforward for you mate, no need for cables etc. https://www.ukwildlifecameras.co.uk/trail_cameras/trail_camera_accessories_and_upgrade_modules/sd_memory_card_2gb_P643.html Shop around for cheaper stuff though. That site was just the first I
  14. Alternatively mate, to keep shit real simple, just buy a trail camera that has a micro usb rather than a mini usb. My Accorn has a min usb (common 'standard' size) but I have seen cameras that use micro. As I said, the Accorn stuff come a micro-mini usb cable for plugging into female mini usb ports (laptops etc). And also a mini SD card port, so you can remove the card and plug into an adaptor for whatever type of port you want, just find the relevant adaptor. Bit more info on what camera you want and what tab or phone you want to use it with and me or someone else will be able to po
  15. What tablet have you got for a start mate? I've got samsung which has a micro usb charging port. With that you can buy something like one of these adaptors https://www.amazon.co.uk/UGREEN-FBA_10396-Micro-Adapter-Cable-black/dp/B00LN3LQKQ/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1522916385&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=micro+to+mini+usb+adapter&psc=1 That plugs into the charging port and you can use the usb cable provided with the trail camera to plug into that to download the pics onto your tablet without having to remove the SD card. Alternatively you should be able to use something like
  16. I can think of a fast way to curb that shit. Reintroduce a bit of reciprocity into the justice system! They'll not be quite so keen to permanently disable or disfigure someone if they thought that a judge might be sentencing them to the same. Utterly disgraceful animals that have no place in a civilised society.
  17. Tablets often only take micro usb whereas trailcams are often mini usb and removable sd card. In both cases you can buy an adapter off Amazon or wherever to do the job. In fact it's better than a laptop because you can take ya tablet into the field with you and assess your photos and better position your camera straight away without having to go home to do it.
  18. I'm not sure if you got the memo but we've been trying this great new economic strategy recently which is very similar. Basically we just stop caring whether tax revenue is greater than the budget! It's brilliant! Can't go wrong! Free shit!
  19. I'm not convinced or persuaded by it. Seems all too common that the victim is arrested while the police decide if they are a criminal or not. In cases like this, no I don't support it.
  20. Do you need to arrest someone to carry out an investigation?
  21. Depends if the Police and CPS are convinced that the force was necessary and proportionate. If they think there's anything to suggest the force was unnecessary for the protection of life then they will shift the responsibility of deciding that to a jury. If there was some sort of castle doctrine, that wouldn't happen.
  22. Appears he hasn't been charged yet. At this stage simply arrested and under investigation. Which I'd still be inclined to say is a step too far but in line with our current laws at least. I'd have piss all faith he won't charged though.
  23. It's a bloody shame we don't do rights very well, otherwise we could have a type of 'castle doctrine'.
  24. I think that is a fair comment. It's as simple as this, the american people seem to value officials that are at the very least openly spiritual, it's part of the electorates criteria, whatever their individual reasons for that. That's fine, that's the will of the people. It therefore wouldn't be surprising if prospective and existing politicians put on a show of spirituality so as to not exclude themselves from the game. They aren't 'forced' as such to do that, they choose to because of electoral pressure, not legal pressure. That said..... lol...... as CJ has pointed out, It's found its
  25. Chris probably knows better than me. What I think I understand is as follows; Seven states have it in law that a godless heathen cannot hold office, that's their state law (either constitutional or statute, I'm not sure). However, the US constitution has supremacy over the states! And according to SCOTUS that supreme piece of law (specifically the very first amendment of the Bill of Rights no less) rules that those seven states' laws on atheists holding office is unconstitutional and therefore not legitimate, it's overridden by Federal law. They may still be state law but when/if challeng
