Cheers pal, never thought to ask you !....next time I will !....i was up above Reeth and had to walk to them to take a camping stove !!....it was brutal, couldn’t stand up in the wind, never been in weather like it....they spent 4 days fully clothed in bed ........reckoned it was the best place they had ever stayed at !

It was that mate, i was 48 hours with no power and had some folk in my cottage on the moors who were snowed in for 4 days with no power....

A lot of people wont raise a gun to them but i think they are fantastic sporting birds and make great eating. Pushed 6 out of a small patch and only shot this one.

Most game birds aswell as hens will eat worms, insects and spiders mate....i think one one of the reasons woodcock get eaten like that are as they are flushed they empty their bowels !!!

Of course it is !!....NP if you are in touch with your old workmates then you know the whole criminal justice system is in tatters.....three years for straight forward pwits jobs to get to court.....I am sure they were told “no...just say no...”as they were hooved out of the station on bail...later to be Rui .....with no meaningful action taken until 3 years later !!!!!......ffs.....strange how the currant crop of ‘protesters’ are safely tucked up already......don’t tell me it’s not either or mate.....maybe your out of the loop for a bit mate but I’m not and you know how the game is played.

Great looking ponds you have there, you get wigeon on them ?...look very ‘Tealy’ !....shot a new one last weekend and took home half a dozen mallard, saw 3 teal but too quick.....don’t get many wigeon round here but have high hopes for the new pond.....have killed the odd wigeon but have always been females or cocks coming out of eclipse......first proper cock is going to the taxidermist!.....

Had 3 new hens lifted last week, put a snare up on the fence line and caught a nice dog fox this morning....he had been around yesterday, I could smell him....
