I’ve known him for years, have gifted him all sorts of dead birds, mainly owls. Nearly all of the items in the house are native birds, although he was doing some Albertross/Shearwater/Petrol mounts for a London museum exhibition last time i was round. Couldn’t believe the wingspan of some of those, longer than Eagle easy. The real skill in bird taxidermy is the ‘mounting and feathering ‘ at the end to get the bird looking lifelike. The skinning and cleaning is relatively easy....check out Elle Kaye taxidermist....she is a real talent on small birds and is easy on the eye !!
