    i had got my sweet heart a swain and adley hunting whip from the 20s and had the silver collar engraved with her hound kennel name (no ime not telling!) it cost nearly 2 weeks wages......then she f****d me off down the road so ive just sold it for a massive loss bloody women! the most ime spending this year is on myself...a new ferret finder 2 new longnets and a trammel off TC

    yep always pine or some other soft wood simple as hell to split...lets see that work with a length of oak or chestnut

    their is a few about, a lot of the heads and where i net....the peirs were doing well untill that big storm toot half the harbour wall with it not the whole lots bloody closed !

    had a few real bad ones on the fell, slipping on crags normaly my on fault wearing bloody wellies, nearly drowned a couple of times too that was bloody scary! last monday i was up the screes and come to a bad spot and went to climb up to the next ledge their was a very steep slope almost vertical about 20m down and 2 big crags on the top well i thought i spotted a way thru so climbed up and got to a wee 6 inch ledge then stretched out for the next rock and my toe slipped off the ledge and i went down and for that split moment before i grabbed the ONLY heather frond on the grag all that wen

    igh right enugh the knots slip of fall thru, even double knots... and TC ime disappointed in you i was expecting a pure pearl of wisdom to fix my problem oh and could you please drop me a pm with a price for 2 6 yard trammel stop nets please PK have you tried pulling it tight while making the knot yet? TC no ime sat on my arse on hear and FB wooing a lady

    Thought you weren't allowed to play with nets anymore PK....lol no i am....just have to stick to salt water Just make sure you check the local regs mate.......let me know how you get on...........me, I'll stick to my beach caster and fly rod. I've got a little trip sorted in January mate......not sure what might pull my string but if you keep an eye out in 'sea angler weekly' me and my mate will probably have a couple of pics in it. Bell ive been doing it since i put my first net on the beach with grandad at 7 years old have a trip up some time for a tide your not too far from me..

    right chaps i have made a wee stop net from 3z nylon and its a belter only i come to add the selvage mesh, i was going to use yellow spun polly but it wont knot for hell! now all i have other than this is braided nylon and that wont knot to it eather! any sugestions of new knots to use, i dont want to double up the mesh thats too much hard work

    what normally happens is some irish lad with a chip on his shoulder soo deep he has to wear a tie to stop him self falling in half...challenges one of the regular thl users or all thl to a uber lamping match. (always wrote in txt talk so you have to re-read it a dozen times) then every one jumps on him, and few lads with 2 posts join the forum just to weigh in their thoughts and tell the world how good their bullX or SallieX effort is. then one of the older members wades into this sausage measuring contest (bow banter,tomo ect) cracks a few skulls and every one has a laugh at the c

    we lost a terrier collar in a artificial earth once...at 7 foot thru stone and all kinds of crap, we dug it into a farm tip with a 360 tracked digger the year before.....its still in their oddly enught never lost a ferret collar thou

    If its the same video im thinking of wasn't that a hemp net?? i belive bill said it was a hemp net, one of the guys makeing that video in MY opinon is a tool...the other with the beard ...as i have said before is one of my personal hero who i have a LOT of respect for,and who has given me a lot of time and put up with a LOT of pestering from a very young PK over the years. and is in my opinion is very knowledgeable about night netting
