  1. hello lads, is the meeting at seven houses a race day or just a show?
  2. the dog wasnt to full fitness all season as i just simply didnt have time to get him where i wanted him to be. have you used the treadmill yourself for getting dogs back to full fitness?
  3. hunting season is coming to an end, so this year i'm going to give my lad a go at the lurcher racing. he is relatively fit now galloped around the fields every morning. thinking about getting him started on the dog walker/treadmill, anyone have tried it? if so for how long would you let them on it? etc.etc. i know these have been a great success for greyhounds as my cousins and neighbors have proven in the recent years of coursing. any advice greatly appreciated
  4. Hello my friends springer bitch had a litter of pups. the dog was a lab and the bitch was a springer. just wondering what way would this cross work he offered me a pup so i am half tempted. i just want the dog for hunting mainly hares to rise them and maybe to flush a few foxes. so if i could id like to try to get the pup quartering and barking in cover. i have only dealt with lurches and greyhounds so i am not quite sure how difficult this could be all help welcome.
  5. hello thanks for the reply it isnt to mark rabbits in particular its just to rise the rabbit or hare when the field is netted. do you think the dog will not flush out at all? thanks for your time

  7. I know it's a bit late, but id like the get my little lurcher to retrieve. He is a whippet hound collie cross. Extremely tight on the turn and unreal on the lanp. He is now 3 years old, he is soft mouthed and catching and sitting with the rabbit in his mouth, which suits me grand but I'd like to get him to retrieve. Any ideas how to start him
  8. Well lads any ideas what would the best scope would be for under £ w
  9. What's the best scope form under £ for a spring powered airrifle
  10. No silencer, great power in it, would the scope have anything to do with it. I must try changing the pellets so
  11. We tried game rockets and gamo magnums bought off. One lad is blaming the scope he sayes it is not airrifle rated not sure
  12. Yeah I wanted advice not too fools being smart arses
  13. My friend has a break barrel SMK break barrel .22 but there is about a 2 inch drop or rise in the shot never really the same. We cleaned the barrel and hav adjusted the scope several times, the scope is a teasco scope that came off a Winchester .22 rifle (not an airrifle) would this have anything to do with it?
  14. any upcoming races before christmas, id like to chance my little fella
