  3. VERY often up the inside of a hedge you have a run, almost tunnel like. set a big purse net on these runs, either side of the burrow you can youse the hedge to gently suspend the net or use a couple of sticks a bit like a long net. poke nets are good for this. i do some hedges that sound like yours and this is what i do, somtimes just these 2 nets on a 10 or 15 holer what comes in the field the dog catches
  4. fair play to ya caspa, theres not many folk would have kept a dog that broke its leg, and even more credit for not running it at all and giving a very long healing time i dont think i would have had your patience (spelling)
  5. as longnetter said i charge iether a daly rate, or somtimes just a half day, especialy if your just going to be a few hours in a back garden
  6. yep i have one, if you look at some of my pics , you will see a young lad stood out of the truck sunroof holding one, its not a bad lamp not quite as good as lightforse beam wise, but an ok lamp
  7. i wonder if the tax man watches these sites like the plod
  8. well done poacher , nice score that , and the dogs look in good order. its nice to see a post where somebody is out hunting rather than all the squabaling that goes on. TOMO

  10. Tomo, never once did i say it wasnt possible..... never once.... As my dogs do it up there regular.... T howley has just sold a good dog, in fact he said it was the best bitch he has ever seen, and he's seen alot hasnt he mate... Do you think it would have been worth that money, had he took the buyer to watch it up there!! Why do people twist things around on here.... And who ever mentioned BLUE HARES on rugged moorland, well come on, a fit doberman could catch them! nobodys twisting things round, this is what you wrote you bring an out and out fen dog
  11. yes of course some types of lurcher work better than others on difrent terrain, but what your saying rfyl, is gernralising, which is always going to be a sticky area. its like saying bull crosses cant catch rabbits. for evry dog that you say you have seen do rubbish up there, there will be others proving you wrong.
  12. All those thousands of rabbits my old couring dog cought up the rugged yorkshire dales , must have been a dream
  13. I WONDERED WHEN THIS TOPIC WOULD COME UP. he wont do it in the end, he will use an excuse to back out, it is all a stunt to get more people in his church:thumbs: i thought it ironic though , that muslims in afganistan were already burning pictures of him:blink:
  14. When the dogs reach top speed they instinctivly get on the grass verge. mat , im lucky that there is a farm lane just next to where i live, its a public right of way, but only realy used by tractors:thumbs:
  15. most lurchers can run faster than that, whilst running the dogs behind the motor for a few miles nice and steady, you can do a few sprints as well, most days i will have them running around 40 mph for a couple hundred metres. then back down to a trot
  16. YOU HAVE TO PM HIM IF YOU WANT TO ENTER

    ULTIMATE LAMP

I JUST FOUND MY ANSWER from the other thread cheers vin
  18. i followed your thread with intrest vin, and those little torchers are somthing else. i have seen one that big boy had, and had a shine round a few fields, the distance was impresive. the only concern i had is the spot is to tight, ideal for the rifle, but i think for a dog, you need a little more spread . that being said i haven actualy ran a dog with one, have you?????? if so how did ya find it?? cheers TOMO
  19. ive heard your dogs do well fella even seen 1 run and i liked what i see, the dog casper is that the dog which was bred to mb s kat,? if so should be some pups as ive seen her do double numbers many a time and take upto 70 rabbits in anight morning mark............ fook your easy to spot
  20. yes those two dvds realy are pants, alot of the running is in summer, also the date keeps changing by a about 5 years in the corner, but i think its from the mid to late 90's i also think its actualy vics voice you can hear, although ive never met him, so im not 100%
