  4. thats good that happened shazza to that rescue kennels,,,, but its just the tip of the iceberg,,,, to many organisations that dont,,,, and its a real shame as chipping is a great idea..... its not foolproof of course,,,, as i know first hand, the dog in my avatar was lost, and never found despite her chip,, but like i say it was down her shoulder
  5. the bitch in my avatar had her chip move right down her shoulder,,,, the scaner only pics them up when you go right over the top of them,,,,, if you dont go down the shoulder it wont pic it up. i also used to chip,,, i had a stall at shows,, but to be honest getting £10-15 out of terrier and lurcher lads was hard work,,,, they would pay that for a quality collar , couple, or lead ,,,,, but chips , dont get me wrong i did a few, but not enough to make it worthwhile,,,, i think the chips are a great idea,,,,, trouble is most of the rescues rspca dog catchers ect, dont scan , or if the
  6. i dont agree,,,, foxes and badgers are seen daily here,, or should say nightly,,,,,, you say cats are elusive, and thats true,,, however wild life photographers film big cats world wide, some of them very rare idividuals.. i agree with robo christ,, we would have seen dead individuals lying around the countryside by now, acording to statistics theres been hundreds if not thousands of sightings,,,, that would mean a lot of individuals wandering the british countryside. wich would mean dead cats lying around, however about 20 years ago there was cerval or jungle cat ,, somthing like th

  14. weather they got a bullet or shot iant the issue... the fact remains they were got rid of becuase they were no longer a comodaty... yes of course an estate has to make money of course it does. and im shure that fella put alot of effort in to there welfare but by getting rid it gives antis ammo..... in other words we will protect wild animals whilst theres £££ to make. so there not realy bothered about the hares welfare are they??? wel certainy not anymore i would run the windmill land , if the lads that i know, no longer had permision,,,, but they do still have permision so i do
  15. HERES SOMTHING ELSE I THOUGHT,,,, its been said that the hares were shot , so ilegal coursing would be a waste of time.......ok i get that,,,, but the irony is,,,,, it was the very support from lurcher lads that gave the estate its numbers at the warterloo... i bet 3/4 of the crowd were lurcher lads that have poached at one time or another......... you know im right . so after its banned the hares were shot , to stop us lot........the very people that paid the entry money.......... sad ..............
  16. IMHO TOMO the antis werent bothered about saving the hares :whistling:their trump card they saw it more of a class thing. We tried Field Trialling Greyhounds muzzled dogs shotguns in place after the hare escaped under fencing and they still objected and tried to prosecute to their loss financially There was a massive hare shoot within the week of the ban coming in on Altcar sacrilege I know but illegal coursing was a major problem,so what options were available? remove the hares and the illegal coursing problem was removed, the estate has been in trust since Lord Levenhulme's death, they dont
  17. playing devils advacate here,,,,, but i dowt the antis wanted the hares shot..... i bet the estate wanted them shot, proberbly to stop lads coursing,,,,, and possibly because the lack of income from coursing means the estate needs to make more from the cereals grown there. it is sad though that the estate felt the need to remove the hares,, and they couldnt let them thrive there. but thats land owners and shooting men for you.... if they had left the hares and told the keepers not to police/catch illegal hare coursers, and left it to the police , the police would have been inundated wi

  19. happened in the pit village i used to live in...... the young kids were throwing stones at the gypsys, thay had a camp with a small clif surounding it.. the gypsys came to the village and beat a young lad up outside the shop........... all the miners from the village went down, and knocked f**k out of them , burnt some carravans out,,,, one lad was attacked by there alsation, which he killed with a hammer.
