If a non saluki blooded dog could run for three or four minutes , how many times during the day could he this ? Once i reckon , and then hed be rolling around in a pool of throth , blowing out of his arse !! He certainly is not going to have the recovery rate of a saluki bred dog, neither is he going to be as good around cover . Its not just about staminer , its about style , controlled pace , and coursing sence , which the saluki has loads of naturally . You cant beat the right type of coursing dog on big or small land .When was the last time a normal lurcher won a match !!?? the bitc

dont know if there related,,, i dowt the whipp/grey side is ,,that side in Tara came from greenock in scotland. the sire to levelers pup is kelpie/colie owned by d.slieght, so the kelpie grandfather might be the same dog, glad it all worked out for you leveler,,, i was also drawn to that pup, but thats no suprise as my last 5 dogs have been fawn. just the right age as well by aug/september, it will be 5 going on 6 month,, out ferreting as much as you can, just you the pup and a ferret and a few nets.

ive seen a few run , that i thought very good,, hare coursing, i have watched splodge run, both fen and smaller hedgy land. blessed with speed and staminar. i have also watched roberto's dog maggie run and kill 5 from 5 ,, 3 off one slip. that was somthing special to wittness , but it was the only time i have seen it run. on the lamp,,,my old mate had a bull/grey,, that was a relentless rabbit catcher,, and also ginnyspiners dog ginny was very similar in its relentless staminar and drive to catch rabbits.

ITS on to salukis and the fens again its all baws fault. im pretty shure that the fen boys yoused to go to scotland regular on one of the big estates, and kill an aufull lot of hares
