  1. The best Dog I ever owned was a Whippet x Beddy, would retrieve balls ect when a pup, but in the field she would kill, then leave the rabbit and I had to go and pick up, I know its frustrating and its good to see them retrieve, i also tried a few different things but they didn't work. Worked her nine Seasons, took a huge amount of rabbits with her, best Ferreting dog I ever owned, I would not have sold her for a Kings ransom, but carrying, she said no, no, no.
  2. Beddys make good bushing dogs, as they have a good nose on them, and you are doing the right thing wanting a bit of lakey in there, go on The Working Bedlington Forum nice bunch of Lads who will keep you right, and put you on the right direction, for what you are looking for/ be it a bushing or digging Terrier.
  3. Well said, I ran a Whippet X Beddy for seven seasons, she hated rats with a vengeance, never made any difference to her when on Rabbits, or Pheasants, When she was a Pup she got pecked on the nose by Crow, and would not go near them.
  4. Must be astro turf you run them dogs of yours on,fields where I come from have proper mud and grass and God forbid even cow sh!t. My dogs have never been stupid enough to stand in cow shit, i have a mat at my back door which my whippet wipes his paws, before entering the house, clever eh.
  5. No I dont, and my house is not stinking, where do you run your dogs, on Sewage tips?
  6. Thats Why Whippets are good in the house, years ago the best Hare catching Dog I ever seen, slept on the couch, and never slept outside.
  7. Could have been, just play, but a lot more excitable, and with me looking at some of the ingredients in thekeepers mix, could have had nothing to do with it, as they are now sleeping.
  8. My Whippet had left a small ammount of his Dinner, which was raw minced Lamb, but i had added Keepers Mix which is a Herbal conditioner For Dogs. Ingredients, Kelp,Celery seeds,Alfalfa,Nettle, Rosemary, psllium Husks,Clivers, and Wild Yam Root. About half an hour after eating the meat, the kits started going bananas, fighting and jumping about the cage, racing after each other, chitering, i have never seen them behave like this, i know they can have a bit of rough and tumble, but this was different, the only thing i can put it down to was the keepers Mix.
  9. I have a Whippet Pup, I have always been, mainly a Rabbit Man, i couldnt care less about Reds, in fact when you read posts on this site, I am surprised there are any left.
  10. Yorkshire Terrier x greyhound, great on Bunnies, but not keen in the big stuff.
  11. You will be pleased, but i also would not run a Pup so young, he is not muscled up,you could end up with damaged young joints, also his bones have not finished growing. Buy Penny Taylors Skycat on here, excellent book Running Dog Maintenance, and read the first three chapters 1,Exercise and condition 2, Muscles, their function, strains, ruptures and treatment 3, bones and joints.
  12. If I remember right, its not high in protein, I think 11% it is usefull if you have a picky eater, as most Dogs love it, especially the Green stuff, although my pup wont touch it.
  13. My Whippet Pup is now five Months, fed on Raw minced Meat and bone, with seaweed powder, and olive oil twice a week, i can honestly say, this pup has not had one loose stool in this time, and three a day, as regular as clockwork.
  14. Have a look at the post Lithium Batteries, are they any good.
  15. Thanks anyway malt, but I give up, I did your upgrade, but still no luck, and no word from admin either. I also have tried to copy a sentence on a post, I press copy, and when I press paste it does not come up, yet again I tried this on an other site, and it works okay.

    whippets

Thats okay, it seems to be the in thing to advertise as Luguna whippets, when they really are whippets with some Laguna in their back breeding.
  17. I cant understand it, the same photo on photobucket i clicked the Img code which said copied, I then put it on a post on the working whippet forum, right click paste and up it came, as I have always done, but it still wont work on the THL site, have sent a pm to Admin, but have had no feedback.
  18. This appears to be a popular problem, and is mentioned on other forums, some finding this a problem, and others saying there's is okay
  19. Still not working, clicked the IMG code it comes up copied, did what you said, but when I right click on the THL page the paste box does not appear, instead it is the box that says, Back, reload, and bookmark this page. Just tried the same Photograph on another Forum, and it transferred no problem.
  20. When my photo goes on to photobucket, and i press the proper IMG code, and copied comes up when I transfer to THL posts the paste does not come up, it will not let the photo on, I have no problem with other sites, can you help?
