  1. If you can get him done for £38 jump in.
  2. Hope you get them soon, regarding nets I received nets from Netrigger on here, the best I have seen, and I have been in the game along time, highly recommended.
  3. Dont really know, as this is a new venue, it has outgrown the last two, so now its at the Duke of Buccleuch's.
  4. Ive never seen a otter caught in a hinger, that's Scottish for gill net.
  5. Cant make it Sunday, will you be there on the Saturday?
  6. Drumlanrig Castle Thornhill, about 10 miles from Dumfries Scotland, this Saturday and Sunday.
  7. Im glad I bought the Ginger snaps, they have helped once, and it years since I had any, used to dip them in my tea, which I did with the spare pkt Cant believe im puting up a post on Ginger snaps on THL.
  8. I do know they will grow out of it, just been looking for something to quicken the process, I would have to be really desperate to try the Dap, it is too expensive, but up too now I have spent nothing,£1.20 on anti sickness pills and £1 for two pkts ginger snaps farm foods, and I ate the other pkt.
  9. Denned, Maybe in the future the Lurcher racing could be in the main arena, with a Slipper in proper attire, red jacket ect they do this at Broughton with the Whippets and the crowd loves it, instead of being stuck in a far away corner of the field.
  10. Iam exactly in the same situation as your self, I have a Five Month Whippet Pup, who is a very bad traveller. The things I have tried are, Very short journeys to field where I let him run, this is two mins in car from my house, did this for a fortnight fine, then took him eight miles, four there and back. Didn't work he was sick on return journey. then tried Johnson travel-eze, gave tablets as directed, again didn't work. He does not appear to be very anxious, so it could be motion sickness, I gave him two Ginger Snaps biscuits thirty Mins before journey, then a ten mile trip to the Sea
  11. As I said mine were always, spilling it everywhere, I put the small G Clamp, on this morning, and just checked late tonight, and the food is still there,
  12. Iam always surprised when a post like this comes up, that Lads on here actually reply, I would have gave it a big no, but perhaps, its cause Im getting on a bit.
  13. If anyone uses the Coop bowls on their hutches, or others bowls, and find like me they are managing to spill complete feed, this is a cheap solution I saw on another Forum and is worth passing on, go to a pound shop and purchase the smallest G Clamp, then just clamp on to the cage wire, it works a treat, no more spills.
  14. The yellow pegs look good, but as I said I prefer a shorter peg, as I like to carry a few nets in my pocket, as well as my peg bag, even when using a shorter peg, they hold, and even if they didn't, al you need is a good Dug, but those plastic pegs look the biz and i suppose easy to shorten
  15. Hoping to be there, if anyone on here sees a young Black and White Whippet, come over for a Craic.
  16. If a few whippets turn up let us know on the day we can put a class on no bother. Colm I contacted a female about 6 weeks ago, had a look on my emails but cant find it, she had something to do with the Lurcher show, the answer she gave me was no whippet classes, My whippet pup is Five Months I couldn't even enter him in a puppy class..maybe in the future if you want to better the show, you could have a whippet class and whippet racing, if Lowther can do, why not you. joe , i'll be helping organise the racing , all dogs run against each other , no size or breed classes

  18. Maybe its me being a Scottish, but i find these Lamps far too expensive for what they are, would be interesting to know how much they cost to make, Interestingly I was in China recently,, and was on the look out for lamps, but never managed to find a shop that sold them.
  19. At the back of my hose the field is heaven with Rabbits, has been for months, you couldn't snare or lamp, its a big Dog walking area, and a dangerous place if you wanted to lamp, lots of half buried wires ect, but the rabbits are all clean, which surprises me, as usually if you get big numbers it breaks out, it may happen later.
  20. This event is seriously needing revamped, they churn the same stuff out, year after year, once again Hywel Morgan doing fly fishing in the main arena, same Falcon display ect ect, and in the lurcher show, not even a Whippet class.
  21. Verry good but 8 inches long, do you cut back,,i keep my hazel pegs short usually 5 inches.
  22. You can usually get a good deal from your local pet shops, in any amount you need.
