Apart from the last sentence, straight from the Amnesty International/Liberty manual. just common sense fella If torture is so ineffective, why have the most advanced societies in the world carried on with it ? Yes, it is out of favour with "civilised society", but they still depend on it to protectect their people, even when those people shun it. Ask those people who shun torture if they would condone it if it prevented one of their loved ones being beheaded..

Who were the high profile British Citizens held in Guantanamo ? They only became high profile because they were British passport holders. They had no allegiance to the UK, and only used their British nationality as a lever to get the human rights that Britain has signed up to! They wernt bothered about being Brits when they went off to Afghanistan to kill our troops. If they fight against us and terrorise us, then we should give them no quarter, and we should fight to win!

It won't be carnage; it'll be the usual idiots and kids hiding behind police, shouting abuse at each other ! I was at the recent newcastle/Liverpool game and there wasn't a bit of trouble ! I always thought two wrongs didn't make a right ! Why should we pay for millionaires to have the finest champagne OR pay benefits to scroungers ?' I wouldn't say the £65000 bill was wrong it works out to about £ each per year Yet the politicians are talking about scrapping the pensioners heating allowance. I'd rather pay the old 'uns £200 a year to stop them freezing to death, than pay Lords £ for champagne.........

Yeah, Lord Hanningfield is being investigated by the police for claiming his £300 a day for years, yet only spending an average of FOUR MINUTES a day in the House! He has already been in jail for fiddling his expenses ! How much longer are we going to put up with this shite ?

I didn't tealise It was an argument, I was simply pointing out that the 91% was a silly thing to say. Possession figures should only be taken for the whole game, not just a part of it. Interesting that you mention darts; only a week or so ago I watched Phil Taylor hit a 120 average over a four leg section of a match, higher than his opponent, yet he still lost ! Point I'm trying to make is just because you have the most possession or better averages, doesn't automatically mean you win the game.

In the 5 seconds of the kick off, Newcastle had 100% of the possession, but Chelsea stormed back when they kicked off the second half and had 100% of the possesssion for 6 seconds !!........ Just shows statistics ain't all they are cracked up to be. The actual possession for the whole of the game, ( you can't just cherry pick certain bits), was Newcastle 35 %, Chelsea 66%, according to Chelseas website.

Once again, distorted facts about UKIP. They DIDN'T have foreigners delivering leaflets. They ordered their leaflets from a BRITISH company, who then subcontracted the order to a foreign company who printed them. UKIP weren't aware of this, and when it was pointed out to them, they have refused to deal with the company again. One thing he espouses is for us not to vote. If no one voted , then the government of the day would remain in power. So, not voting doesn't change anything.
