They looked at, or had information about, the electoral list in your ward. That is illegal, and maybe you should ask the Electoral Commission, or your local newspaper how the LibDems knew your voting status.

It's why you should ALLWAYS vote, or at least spoil your ballot paper. Your polling station will have the electoral list, and the names are ticked off as people vote. A corrupt polling official only has to wait until near the end of polling and see who hasn't voted, then fill in all the unused votes for the party of their choice ! We laugh at the third world voting practices, but with widespread postal voting fraud and abuse of electoral lists, we aren't so squeaky clean ourselves !

They are in panic mode; latest polling puts them on 6%, same as the Greens. It destroyed my faith in British democracy when a party that came a distant third in the General Election became part of the Government, with positions like Deputy Prime Minister, Business Secretary and Chief Secratary to the Treasury. For gods sake, the even came behind "The Bus Pass Elvis Party in a recent by election !

It's been known about and covered up for years, just look at that b*****d Cyril Smith ! He was covered by the police, politicians and the security services. They couldn't have it coming out when he was alive because of how many he would take down with him. Same with the "inquiry" they were supposed to have, first chairman had to stand down because she was the sister of one of the main men involved in the cover up, the second chairman had to stand down as she was a freind and neighbour of one of the suspects. No matter how tired you are, it takes only a minute or two to check the dog for cuts and scrapes, clean it's feet, dry it off, the dog has put its shift in, why should it go into its kennel wet, when you go in to a cup of tea and a hot bath ? For someone as experienced as Skycat to say they "often" put their dogs to bed wet, is baffling to say the least. I assume she made a mistake. Summer or winter, a wet dog will stil suffer if kennelled after a hard day or nights graft if it isn't dryed off.

There should NEVER be a time when a wet dog is put in a kennel. It only takes a minute to towel a dog.

It's all part of the general discussion, Mush. I doubt if it would worry my loved ones who it was who blew me up, IRA, Provos, UDF, Taliban, Hezbollah, or some home grown nut job ! We WERNT worried about the Muslim fanatics in the 70's, we had our own lot in NI to worry about, now it's more global, I'd just like to go to a bar or the shops or on a flight without any fanatic trying to kill me. As I said, people from BOTH sides marched for peace. And let's not forget, British troops were sent into Northern Ireland to protect the Catholic minority, oh, how things changed as time, politics and allegiances changed. But you are correct, there is ALLWAYS two sides to a tale !

Not every country in NATO has nuclear weapons LOLNot everyone holds the same views, see what happens if a major political party puts in their manifesto to remove Trident subs to the Thames. If Britain , France, and the U.S. WERNT nuclear powers and part of NATO, what do you think Russia would be doing now, apart from ruling the whole of Europe, including Scotland ? A local woman's terrier chased an injured roe, it had a broken front leg and neck and arse injuries, obviously the local poachers didn't finish the job. It got tangled in a sheep fence. She called the police, they refused to come out; she called the RSPCA, they refused to come out; she called the local vet, they refused to come out. A local lad walking his collie was passing, he broke its neck, gralloched it and took it home. The woman was in hysterics ! What the hell did she want ?

There are a lot of sayings attributed to Australian politicians, the majority are urban myths. An Australian politician DID say of the recent hostage situation, " I don't think it was politically motivated", even though the purpetrator was wearing an ISIS head band, put an Islamic flag up and demanded to be given an ISIS flag. I'm afraid Australian politicians are much the same as ours; out of touch with normal people. Normal Australians and are much the same as us, fed up with lying politicians, and the appeasement of extremists.

Three of the places mooted were Palestine, Uganda and part of the east of the Arabian Peninsula. Personally, sticking them in the middle of Africa would have been the least contentious. But the big money, powerful backers demanded they return "home", and, as usual, the West caved and gave them Palestine, look what that has led to, never ending conflict.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of innocent people, justifying because there was Isrealis and Jews, (not the same thing), amongst those killed. I'm no supporter of Isreal, and perhaps the Americans should have done What Ibn 'Saud suggested when he was told the Jews were to be given a homeland because the Germans murdered 6 million of them .. I agree, seems quickly forgotten and in my opinion the beginning of the end was due to bin laden and 9/11. It was a white Catholic that shot my 19 year old cousin in the head. No protest about that. If you don't remember any peace marches against the IRA then you were probably not around in the 70's ! There were many brave people who marched against the violence, from both sides, and at least one woman was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for organising peace demonstrations.
