Beardsley, now there is a man I admire ! A tremendous player who ALLWAYS gave his all, and the last time I met him was at the Marie Currie Centre in Newcastle, no cameras, no publicity, he was just visiting Young people who were dying of cancer, and made there last days a little easier....

Oh , Max, why don't you concentrate on Sunderland, instead of worrying about other teams ? Your adopted team may be in the relegation zone in the new year ! Nothing new, you can spend a few months telling us who you will beat and what a cup run you will have !

Ashley's just been stopped by the Scottish FA from increasing his stake in Rangers to 29.9%. How stupid is that? If he is going to pay the wages of the players, the coaching staff, the ancillary workers, and keep a respected and historical club afloat, why the hell should they stop him ? I've a vested interest; if he focusus on Rangers, he might just sell Newcastle to a buyer who has the club, rather than profit, at heart ! I live in hope that billionaires may take over football clubs with altruistic thoughts in mind .....

Why ? A dog being slipped hasn't a clue what nationality it's slipper is ......

Well, I'm ENGLISH through and through, but I thought it was a great flag ! The Cornish bit, the White cross on the black background is often overlooked. The Celts could also look to places like France, Spain, Portugal, and add bits of their flags, as there are plenty of Celtic descent from those countries . I said I was ENGLISH , but evidently my forbears came from Normandy, and before that, Scandinavia . These isles are made up from many peoples..... I'm talking before Commonwealth immigration, ..... Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Romans, Norman's , Scandinavians. The Celts probably came from aroun

Not to a "certain extent" ; to an absolute extent ! How can getting a customer to pay way over the odds be a "result" ? The vast majority of vets will overcharge as a matter of course , and if pet shops are employing professionals to con people into buying overpriced food by lying to them, they should be charged with the trades description act, and even the individual should be sanctioned by their professional body ! We get ripped off enough without pet shops and vets conspiring to fleece us !
-
I'd assume he is talking about Bull X's, but if all he is after is a 3/8 x5/8 without being worried about the breeding, then there will be plenty on here who will find one and sell it to him ......
-
Like some vets, they have sold their professional integrity to the big corporations. They will tell the gullible that their dog is intolerant to certain things, and needs to be fed on certain, extremely overpriced complete dog food. They should REALY be giving good advice, based on fact and their training....but, of course, money comes first these days.

It's a way of life for some, and the government wouldn't dare interfere, although some in government are heavily involved. It's the will of the people, so why can't our government allow us to do what we want, within reason ? Fox hunting has never been more popular, even though it's banned, so why don't they just repeal the ban and let us get on with it ?

Cocoon centre.co.uk seem to do the frontline combo without a 'script. It's a French company.
-
Its the combo that mushroom was on about thats script only.. the frontline spot on & wormers are & have been no script for years .. probably cheaper to get the combo in the longrun but not at the vets prices [/quot Ahh, OK, I allways buy them separately , and find Vet-Medics the cheapest to buy a years supply. My mistake.
-
I've just been on Vet-Medic, and you CAN buy Frontline and Drontal without a 'script. You can also buy them a larger branches of boots without a 'script, but they are cheaper on line.
-
You may have picked the wrong forum to make your first post about asking complete strangers about their hunting habits.
-
Frontline and panacure are readily available on line at Vetmedics. No questions asked and cheaper than a vet or the shop. I usually buy a years supply.

Newcastle v Sunderland games look like a kids birthday party compared to some rivalries in South America, where water cannon, tear gas, etc are deployed, and people actually die ! The recent "derby" went off without a hitch, even though Newcastle lost, in the past this would have led to a few kids hiding behind police and shouting at each other, and who could forget the idiot who punched a horse, hardly anarchy and rioting in the streets !

Try reading and understanding what I said , Max ! I said Owen would have went to one of the "big" teams for half of what Newcastle payed him! If teams like Newcastle, Sunderland, Hull, Swansea, etc want to sign someone in demand, they have to offer far more, usually far more than the player is worth, to sign them. If you think a player is going to let the nightlife and restoraunts in Manchester Sway his decision , then I doubt you have been to Barcalona, Madrid, Milan, or even New York or Melbourne ! I know the average player isn't going to win mastermind, but do you really think he listens to
-
He was set up by a reporter and done for pretending to be a vet and selling prescription medicines for animals.
-
It's got very little to do with the team or location any more. Offer a player more wages than the other team, and his agents and advisors will make the decision, not his wife or girlfriend . If a player is on £100,000 a week, do you really think his wife will be shopping in Newcastle, Manchester or Birmingham ? Of course not, she'll be like Rooneys wife and be in New York, Milan, L.A., wherever. Does anyone think Owen would have come to Newcastle if he hadn't been offered £115000 a week ? He would have went to Chelsea, Man U or Liverpool if they had offered him half that ! It was only Newcastl

I'm not really a Newcastle fan, although I live in the area and go to a few of the games, I also go to a few of Sunderlands games as well, just depends on which client is supplying the tickets ! LOL ! I enjoy most top class sport, and feel the supporters of Newcastle are getting a raw deal under this owner. It could be worse, of course, the could have owners like Leeds, Rangers, or many others, who thought they could buy their way out of trouble, or Blackburn who thought they could buy success. To get a top manager and top players, you need an owner, these days, with money to burn, and a passi

If you took the best players from Sunderland and Newcastle you still couldn't make a team capable of challenging for anything. Both sides are happy not to get relegated every season and hope they do well in the local Derbys, and that's the truth.Sp Newcastle have an owner, and compliant manager, who simply want to run it as a business. The only aim is to stay in the Premier; no Europe, no Cups, no ambition other than to make a profit for the owner. The TV and Premier money is all that counts as well as the free advertising for Ashley's Sports Direct business. Buy players that look like they

The North East has two shit "premier teams", and all the excuses in the world about the ref or opposing teams will not change that.....
-
I remember Charlie Hurley, an Irish man, not a Mackem. An old saying in the north east when a particularly big bairn was born, they'd say he had legs like Charlie Hurleys chest ! A fine figure of a man and a good player .

Shearer was at the end of his career when Liverpool came in with an 8 million pound offer for him,Robson "allegedly" agreed to the offer and this was one of the reasons he was sacked for. Shearers contract also was a burden to Newcastle for bringing new players in ,as his contract stated that he had to have 10% more than the next highest paid player. That's right, when Duncan Furguson signed, Shearer automatically got a pay rise. I think Ferguson got £40,000 and Shearers pay went up to £44,000. Even his best pals, Lee and Beardsly reckon he was very "shrewd" with money !

There are reviews on the 'net, and I fancied a ford ranger so I asked mates who had/have them. The opinions vary wildly from too heavy on the juice and truck like ride; to best "real" pickup out there ! I Think it depends on what you want it for. If you want a crossover from a family vehicle to something to do the odd bit of work, then there are better choices. If you want something a bit more heavy duty that can also be used as a car, then it's the one. I'd personally go for a Hilux, but they hold their price very well, but you are getting probably the most reliable and best of both worlds
